Read the comments on the video: Seems their chrony readings were showing that it was underperforming. Which is unfortunate, considering that I think the 10mm is the ideal PCC round.

For $125 you'd be stupid not to buy it.

I shot a friend's C9 and although it was unrefined, it worked just fine. And Hipoint offers an excellent warranty for their products.

Typically I'd prefer to save and get quality, but I've heard that as ugly as they are, the hi point carbines work well, and hi point has great warranties. For 125$ that's something I don't think I coulda passed up

Hi-Point

I never did understand why some folks dislike Hi-Points so much - especially if they have never owned or shot one. The first pistol I ever bought was a JHP .45 pistol. I've never had a problem with it (except for some of my own reloads!!) and still have it. It was a very inexpensive was to get into pistol shooting. I happen to really like mine! It's pretty darn accurate and a good gun for the price.

My motto is "Don't knock it till you try it". I think people judge too much based on appearance or price point when they have no first hand experience themselves.

Of cours there are exceptions to every rule!

I want a .45 carbine to go with my JHP .45 pistol. I have a JCP .40 s&w that I have over 2000 rounds through. They are a little on the ugly side but for under $150 that I for them for I won't complain.

Hi-Point bashers tend to be people who's friend's friend's uncle had a problem. Or they saw a guy at a range that had 11 misfires per magazine.
I have a Hi-Point 9 carbine that we really enjoy shooting. It is easy to handle and relatively accurate at 50 yards which is all I try to push it out to. Ugly and functional in my opinion. I doubt I will ever display it over my fireplace.
My C-9 is as reliable as ANY handgun I own. To me "reliable" means that it will shoot any ammo I put in it and hit what I shoot at(within reason of course). It is WAY too bulky for a carry weapon and should hold 20 rounds for the size of the gun but every person, including gun snobs, that shoots it really likes it. The only issue I ever had with it turned out to be the feed lips of a new magazine and isn't that a big surprise?

I kinda like the way they look...but it must be one of those "because I'm a weirdo" things... Oh well! $125 for a trunk gun vs a trunk monkey? I would go with the Carbine, banana prices are through the roof!

Kind of like taking the fat girl to the drive-in in HS. You know she's going to take good care of you there, but you don't want your friends to see you. :D
