This is a modified version of the holster Will Ghormley made for the character Charlie Prince in the remake of "3:10 to Yuma". The pattern is made loose for a quick draw and I tightened it up a bit for better retention. The original was black with red suede lining and bright nickel spots. I did it in oxblood with no lining but retained the red contrasted stitching with antique nickel spots. I think the look is a little more subtle. The holster is called the Flames of Hell but it looks like a big rose to me. I think it's cool and a little different but some may not like it. I'm trying to do at least one sample of every pattern I offer for the website.

i was thinking tulip, but regardless, it's a great looking holster. i like the contrast stitching.

More tulip for me too. Perhaps adding more "flames" will make it look fire. IDK. Cool holster to say the least

It's a shame the fighting revolver's high point was over 140 years ago. :(

Beautiful holster and revolver- could we see a pic out of the holster?

Very nice work. I have liked everything you have shown. The web site also looks good and I am looking forward to getting my Threepresons for my Mark III.

Looks like a tulip to me too. A very elegant, very dangerous tulip.

I really admire these holsters; I don't have any single-actions but when I get one I want to order a holster from you.

Thank you guys very much for the kind words! I agree, it does look more like a tulip. I may have to play around with the design a little bit. I was thinking a matching belt could have something on either side of the cartridge loops. Lots of possibilities and the contrasted stitching wasn't really something I would've wanted to do until the movie rig started growing on me. Something like that could really be done on virtually any holster with enough real estate for a design.

Beautiful holster and revolver- could we see a pic out of the holster?
Certainly!

My first thought on reading the thread titles was "He's bought a polymer revolver."
Lovely work. I'm glad we don't need the Spanish Inquisition.

Beautiful gun and leather work! If you put the gun back in the holster while it is still smoking, the stitching will look more flamelike....

Craig. Why r u so mean to me. Every time you show one of your holsters, I start drooling and my wife slaps me up side the head and sez forgit it.

Your just mean and my head is hurtin

Frankly, you are paying homage to a cinema rig. Whether it looks more like aTulip or flame, I wouldn't change its shape at all because you nailed the stiching of the original.

Thank you kind sirs! :)

The more I look at it and handle it, the more I like it. I've been doing this for almost a year now and have yet to make a gunbelt for myself. I may just have to do one to go with this holster.

Another winner! The "Tulip" holster goes perfectly with the contours of the S&W top-break design.

beautiful work! you nailed the look of it, personally id never likely tell a man wearing it that his flame holster looked like a tulip! :D
Excellent Holster

That was one of my favorite movies and characters in the recent westerns.
Your holster looks very professionally made and I am also drooling over that Schofield/holster combination.

I'll check out your website

Good job! I love it.
