I need to figure out any information possible about these handguns and would really appreciate the help. I'd like to figure out the approximate value for insurance purposes and in case I decide to sell one.

First one up is a Belgium Browning Hi-Power. It is not a new firearm and could be from as far back as the 50's. Pretty sure it was made before the 70's-80's. It has very nice adjustable target sights and is very accurate. It's in very good shape aside from a small amount of wear on the front/bottom, trigger guard and a dent or two on the wooden grips.

Next up is a Nazi marked Walther P38. Of course these weren't made to be pretty but it is built like a tank. It has a few Nazi markings and 1926 engraved on it. Other than that I know nothing about it.

This one is a Walther PPK .32acp in Very nice condition. This is another old gun. Not exactly how old but I think it was made before the 80's. There is a couple small cracks on the grips but other than that I can't find much wrong with it.

Next one up is a Walther PP in .32acp and I think this one was a Nazi gun as well. I can't find any swastikas or other Nazi crests on it but it came with a Nazi holster and it jives with the person it came from was in WWII. It is in a little rougher shape and looks like it was carried a good amount.

Last but definitely not least is my Colt Woodsman. It is VERY clean and only has one very small scratch just above the trigger guard on the right side. I tried to take a good pic of it but you can't even really see it. The front sight is adjustable for elevation. I'm pretty sure this is an older model. Probably from the 50's or 60's if I had to guess. Very well could be earlier though.

The front strap of the BHP reads 73CXXXXX indicating it was a C series made in 1973...

I cannot help with values. Nice guns though...

The PPK is early. Pre or WWII. It is worth at least $800. Possibly (probably) more. If no one else chimes in, I'll do a little research by serial number. That's a very desirable gun.

That is really what I wanted to hear sgt127. Thanks so much. I had no idea it was that old. I don't know how it made it through all those years without getting more banged up.

I would really appreciate anymore info you could provide. Where are you researching if you don't mind me asking?

Hell, I wonder if that leather case I have the PP in is actually for the PPK? I've been looking at pics of them online and it shows them with that case. There appears to be an Nazi Eagle above the letter "N" stamped on the barrel. The letter "N" is also stamped on the right side of the slide with something above it. It looks like it could possible be an incomplete stamp of a crown... From what I've been looking at this would make it a Nazi PPK. Anyone know if this is correct?

This one(linked below) on Gunbroker has a serial number 275xxxK and they say it's from 1940. Mine is 274xxxK which I'm guessing would put it around the same time period if not before...

Very nice collection you have there! I would also recommend taking a look at waltherforums.com for additional information on your P-38, PPK, and PP models.

I'm thinking its about 1940. The first clue is that its stamped Zella Mehlis. That was the original factory, in Germany. No more guns came out of there after the factory was taken over at the end of the war. Second, it's highly polished blue. By the end of the war, the finish was very rough. I can't make out the proof marks and, I think I got close on the serial number.

If you want info on Walthers, the books by Rankin are very good. I'm looking at Dieter Marschalls book Walther Pistols Models 1 Through P99.

That Colt is minty.. what's the serial number range? It looks (color wise) like it might be a pre-WW2 pistol and if so, worth over a grand.

Serial on the Colt Woodsman is 114xxx.

Thanks for all of the info gents. I've been digging through the Walther forum. I'm thinking I might let the PPK and PP go...

Let me know if you want to sell the PPK, i desperately need a WWII era one to go with my .22lr pre war PPK, PLEASE :D

No, there aren't any serial numbers on the Woodsman. Wow, I had no idea.

Thanks a bunch for the info. I trying to come up with some numbers and I'll probably put a couple of these up for sale on here.

Does anyone have any info about the PP?

According to proofhouse.com, the Woodsman DOB is 1937. It's a beautiful gun. (I have my grandfather's 1933 Woodsman and wish it was in the shape yours is.) Keep it, shoot it, love it.
