That's right, and they piled up :uhoh: I hear a real weird sound out of my .25 Italy gun and just keep firing away :what: They were Fiocchi factory rounds and not being reloads I was fooled. The gun is kept clean but I never oil any barrels. Does anyone have some input? The gun seems fine. ;)

I assume you had two bullets stuck in the bore. Odd that they had enough power to cycle, but not enough power to bulge the barrel.

So you had two squibs in the barrel at once and another full power round fired and dislodged them.... And didn't damage the gun?

If that is the case then something doesn't add up.

I sorta lost track of the step by step shots but did end up with two rounds piled up. I think that a round, in the middle (or thereabouts) ;) cleared another one out. The bullets look new with strong rifleing. I can post the pics. The box is a few yrs old and almost full but, I think, defective.

Man are you lucky. Is there any POWDER in them? Maybe a primer only charge in a blocked barrel would cycle a .25.

Have any cartridges left? Open one...

Old timey gun smith here had a sectioned S&W MP 38 on display. First bullet was protruding a 1/4 inch from the end of the barrel last had entered the forcing cone and jammed the gun. The sectioned barrel and cylinder showed the six bullets nose to tail, gun jammed otherwise no damage.

Somethings are just strange.

You'll need to get those bullets out now. If the barrel is easily removable, put it in a padded jaw vise and knock them out with a brass punch. If it is a fixed barrel, take the slide off and put the gun's frame in the vise. Hold it just tight enough to keep it from moving when you strike it without bending anything. And stop shooting if the recoil or report feels abnormal. (In a gunfight I would take the chance.)

Hate to admit it but my range box has two dowels. I load on a progressive and ever once in a while a round gets by with no powder. Doesn't happen often, but it does happen. I
Use the dowels to push the bullet back into the case or out of the breech . I always listen to the shot, even the store bought 22's.

Well I figured it out. The Fiocchi stuff was just very weak. The barrel was bone dry and they stuck. There just wasn't any power there. The gun now fires fine, with normal report, using some R+P but the Fiocchi was half the sound, and cycled much ;) of the time. Ima call them and try to get a new box.

I don't know that a squib would block the barrel of a 25. I had a squib in my 357 mag with a 10" barrel. Only the primer pushed a 158 gr JSP out of the barrel. I know the 357 has a larger primer but everything is relative. The 25 cal probably has a 3" or smaller barrel.

A primer only (no powder) will stick a lswc half in the barrel and half in the cylinder of my Redhawk and my 586.

I carry two dowels and a 4 lb diving weight to use as a hammer. I am also working on my quality control. A friend destroyed a Colt Gold Cup when he did not recognize a squib leaving a bullet in the barrel.

30 + years at the bench, not all with progressives, but the no powder charges still get by,
not often but enough. I usee a 550 and the reason I have never upgraded to an atomatic advance machine is just that reason. I quit using the 550 self operating primer feature years ago. Now I pull the priming bar by hand, no more upside down or sideways primers.
Tried a Lee 1000 that a buddy wanted to sell me, what a night mare.
