Enough of these to feed my defensive weapons in the event of a real problem. Several others that I don't stock a lot of.

I try to keep a reasonable amount of every caliber represented in the safe. The one exception is 8mm Mauser. Everything else has a nice stack plus a modest supply of reloading components. I noticed last night its time to start the loading press again. :D

Must, must have are 9mm and 7.62x39 since these are used for selfdefense and in a pinch will kill most anything in NorthAmerica at 100 yards.

I shoot the most .22 lr and this is what I am short of at the moment. Everything else if I have the components I handload.
Other important calibers: Pistol-.45ACP, .380ACP. Rifle: .308, .30-06, .223.

9mm (defense and competition)
.38 Super (defense)
.22 LR (practice)
.223/5.56 (hunting, defense and competition)
.243 Win (hunting)
.270 WSM (hunting)
.308 Win (hunting and long range target shooting)
.30-06 Springfield (target shooting)
.30-30 (hunting)
20 ga (hunting)
12 ga (hunting, defense, competition)

I do have guns for other calibers, but I always keep some of the above on hand. I hand load for each of my hunting rifles, but sometimes I am invited on a hunt and don't have time to crank out any rounds prior to going (being a college student limits my free time). For this reason I always keep some in stock.

In addition to the above, I also currently have some .303 Brit, .444 Marlin, .38 Spl, .357 mag, and .44 mag in the ammo locker.

 And I don't even have a .357 or .44 mag ;)

You only get to pick one?
I did not vote in the poll. since it only allowed one choice. I ALWAYS make sure to have an abundance of these on hand:
.22 LR, .22 Short, .22 CB Long, .22 CB Short, .22 Colibri, .22 Super Colibri
.25acp, .32acp, .380acp, 9x18, 9x19, 7.62x39
.177, .20 .22, and .25 caliber pellets in various configurations and weights
Black powder (ffg, fffg & ffffg), #4 shot, and lead for casting round balls and bullets
Arrows

As soon as I buy a new caliber rifle/pistol I buy all my components to go ahead and reload, so I have rounds for everything I own, alot of rounds at that :)

I try to keep a few rounds for everything I own around. But some I don't shoot as often.

During this ammo craze I found the only thing I realy didn't have much of was 22Lr. I would never have thought it would be the one caliber that would go out the window. But then I don't shoot much of it either so it didn't bother me that much.

I try to keep on hand the calibers I shoot. I'm not big on "practice ammo" (but I keep some as sometimes that's all that's available or I can afford) nor am I interested in watching the bullet travel to the target.

I generally keep at least one box or about 50 rounds minimum for the guns I shoot or would shoot. If I have something old or very collectable, having ammunition for it is not important to me as I'm not likely to ever shoot it anyway.

If I can only choose one then it would be 9mm. I stocked up on it when it use to be less than $10 a box. I also reload it. Now if it was a multiple choice situation then I would add .45ACP, .22LR, .223, and 12 gauge ammo.

Sorry - but I can't just choose one. I keep ammo on hand for every pistol and rifle that I own. To do otherwise is foolish.
This. I have a "topped off" and "minimum" level for all my guns. My 'start to resupply' level varies, but about half way between the two.

So if my .22 topped off level is 1000 and minimum is 500, I'll start buying more when I get down around 750.

And the only way I shoot below those levels would be rare occasions. this method has allowed me to shoot regularly through this mess, albeit a bit less than I shot before January...

My choice was "other" or all the above, plus the others I own. I, like some of the others have said, keep ammo stocks for every caliber/gauge that I own. I don't care if it only gets shot once a year or less, still stock a moderate supply of ammo for them.

more than 1

For pistol I make sure that I have plenty of .40 as that is my main "defensive" round, other than 12 gauge, I always have 00 buckshot, and 30-06, gotta have something to reach out and touch someone with. Oh, and never be without .22 probably the most usable round for putting food on the table.
I always have some ammo for all of my guns, for plinking, hunting, defense or whatever need might arise.

All that are on your list, because I have a chamber for them.....

And a lot more not on your list that I have a chamber for.....

And other calibers I do not have a chamber for, but I will occasionally pick up as barter material if I find a great deal on it.

HI I'm sananahsdad and I'm a reload junkie :what:

Too few ... I keep minimum of 500 rds each of:

.22 LR
.380
.38 SPC/.357
.40 S&W
.45 ACP
.9mm
.223/5.56

Some calibers are actually closer to 1,000 rounds each.

I picked 9mm from your list, but I keep several.

7.62x39
9mm
.45 ACP
.22LR
12 gauge of all types
.30-06

It would be much easier to say which ones I'd allow myself to run out of knowing I may not be able to get more for a while.
25 acp, 32 acp, 9X18 and 7.62X25 these are all guns that really serve no purpose for me other than fill a spot in my collection.
Although I have and will continue to keep all those on hand.

I always always have a box of Winchester Ranger "T" Series RA9T on hand.

Always.

I usually also have at least 50 rounds of 9mm ammo that I can go practice with.

It just so happens that I've had at least 20 spare rounds of .22LR for the last 30 or so years, but I never made a conscious effort to do that.

I've had to do a lot of driving to get 22 ammo lately to accumulate enough ammo for my kids to do an Appleseed shoot. Mostly I got that in little 50 round boxes - three boxes at a time. I don't want to repeat that experience, so if I get a chance to buy a bunch of .22LR ammo, I will. But generally I don't keep a lot of 22 on hand, it's nice to have but not critical. Having the Winchester Ranger T is critical.
