I'm 49. My 3 main carry guns are, 1911 .45 full size, J-Frame .38, Kel Tec P3AT. That's in the order I prefer, the P3AT is normally a BUG, but is used as a primary, when circumstances dictate.

29 here. I've been carrying a revolver since I turned 21 and got my permit.

I got into guns, thinking I wanted a semi-auto, but shooting them, and revolvers side by side, the wheelguns just spoke to me a little louder.
I still have a couple bottom-feeders, but my stable is mostly revolvers, and it's most of what I carry (although admittedly I always have my LCP as a backup gun, just because I've never found a revolver that small that has that kind of firepower).

28 and carry a snubnose 357 revolver more than anything else. The other options are another revolver 44mag, a 1911, or a eaa witness match elite 10mm. So its revolver, 1911, or all steel semi auto in that order. Never have had much love for the polymer guns.

As others have said, a "both" option is needed. I'm 70 but, depending on the circumstance(s) (weather-mode of dress, neighborhood, social situation, etc.), I might be carrying one of two revolvers (a Colt Cobra or a Smith Model 12), or a Ruger LCP, or a Smith Model 6906 or a SIG Model 220 Carry. You just never know...;)

50 +++++

Each + = 5 years.

Mostly depends on weather. Summer, I used to carry a lasered hammerless J, switched to a non-lasered Kahr CW9 recently, although it prints from my pocket a little more obviously. Might switch back to the J for nighttime. Undecided.

Winter, usually a lasered 1911 .45 crossdraw under coat.

Fella's;

I'm in my middle sixties, and I carry an H&K USPc in .40. Been carrying it every day since I bought it in the 1990's. I've gone through one Milt Sparks Exec's Companion IWB holster & am now on the second one. Seems to work for me, why switch? It's been very comfortable & the cost per year is certainly reasonable.

I'm 42 and carry a BHP 9mm most of the time these days, but a S&W M38 revolver sees a lot of pocket carry when attire won't allow for something larger. (work requires this level of discreet carry)
1911s, and a few wheelguns also get some carry time.
Carried a Sig P220 .45 (I owe my life to that one) for a lot of years, but now she is retired. I guess that would qualify as a "modern metal auto". Been thinking I might take her to the range soon and maybe dig out her leather and carry her for a bit.
