What is the last gun that you bought?

Latest Acquisition

Local auction had this listed so I had to see what it would sell for. $550.00 and I had me a ZB-37 with all the whistles and bells!

In post #7610, why are the magazines loaded backwards?
Without looking at the picture I will bet you my collection that the firearm in question is an HK.
It's an inside joke.
Several years ago HK unveiled a new catalog at the SHOT show.
The problem was whoever took the picture for the cover photo was not a gun person and loaded the magazine backwards.
Hundreds if not thousands of copies of this catalog were distributed before someone realized the mistake and pulled the catalogs.
They are very sought after and it has been a running gag by HK owners ever since.

FNX 45 Tactical

Shot only fifty rounds so far, first six were all stove pipes, after that no problem. Has anyone had any problems with that Russian Tulammo inthe steel cases? The first five was that stuff, then I switched to blazer brass, got one stove pipe and the rest ran fine. So about how many rounds does it take to break this thing in?

The Russian stuff ran fine in a Browning BDA.

HOLY CRAP!! Oh, wait, Canada. Huh, I didn't think the exchange rate had gotten that bad down here. I suppose pretty soon you guys will start crossing the border on the weekends to pick up cheap porcelain knick-knacks and fireworks :D ;)

Btw, torch-cut parts kits go for a few hundred more down here than what you paid ;)

A Mosin 91/30. I'd been looking for one for over a year with no luck, and was so happy to find one for sale (and in great condition) that I overpaid for it by quite a bit - $180 out the door. Still happy to finally have one in the collection though - it's a blast to shoot!

@ madFive

I don't think you over paid for it - very average Mosin's are going for $150 to $160.

$180 out the door for a real good one is alright by me.

Good luck with it - it'd a fun gun to own. Loads of history.

Thanks Don - yeah, I'm still kicking myself for not picking one up a few years ago when they were going for half that price. But this one does have some nice history to it. Made in 1941, so it probably saw a battle or two in its day. Once I got all the cosmo off I started pulling copper fouling out of the bore - looks like it had a good number of rounds through it.

Deal on Beretta M9

Beretta M9. Rural King had a "15% off anything that fits in a 5-gallon bucket" sale, so after discount $438 plus sales tax; $467 out the door. I like Rural King.

A Purple Ruger,,,

It's a Raspberry colored SR-22,,,

LadyLilac-lr.jpg

I bought it in a whim just to be different.

I originally thought it was called the Lady Lilac,,,
But a bit if Googlin' and I learned different.

I might try and find a Raspberry LC-9 to pair with it.

Picking up a Kahr P380 at LGS tomorrow -- came in an hour ago. Tried my darndest to wait for the CW380!! Couldn't do it.:D

Up-date from March 2011, recently purchased a 2 1/2" M 66-1. Just cause I've wanted one for many years. I'm at the point of my life I can afford it and I don't know how many years I've got left to shoot .357 Magnum ammo through a short barreled K frame, without causing myself a day or two of stiff arms and shoulders.

My last gun was a Springfield XDS 9mm. I shot 130 rounds in it before the safety recall. Haven't seen it for something like six weeks now. By the time it comes back it will be like I got a new gun.

A cheap Phoenix Arms 22HP. Got it brand new for $108. It's a great reliable all metal plinkster for the price... Talked my GF into going to the range, so I got something fun & easy to shoot...

Rohrbaugh R9. I have been waiting for favorably priced used one in top shape for real long time.
