Palmetto State armory had 30rd C-product mags for 5.99 and free shipping. I got me a couple.........:D

USGI for me thanks. I do handle them carefully and never allow them to drop to the ground, so that might make a difference. I have about 60 mags of varying makes all bought new (Brownells, Colt, Adventure Line, Center and maybe a couple others). I have never had a failure with any of these yet after probably 50,000 rounds and over 30 years. Am I lucky or careful?

+1 To gen 2 Pmags. 3s are good, but they won't fit certain ARs in my experience. It's really just an issue with the lower, but still....

I love the pmags but also use magpul followers in many if my steel mags with great results

PMAGs are nice, but I don't like that they won't fit in the pouches as easily if at all. They are also slightly larger, so they don't drop free of the mag well the way my USGI mags do. So I have a few PMAGs, but mostly use surplus mags.
