:confused:I just did a trigger job on my Mosin and it really is a improvement, but the leaf spring (trigger spring ) is so strong that it still takes a lot of pressure. I was told that I could grind the thickness down and make it lighter. I don't really like that idea. I don't think there is an aftermarket spring for it. What do you think ?

I would hesitate to grind the original spring. If there is an aftermarket solution, I would go that route and keep the original as a spare.

I build Lots of the MN's and I have found two ways to get a better trigger pull from the original Sear set up.
One is to install a brass shim spacer under the sear wher it attaches to the bottom of the receiver.
But that gives you more trigger freeplay , but when it is all the way back it lets off with less travel.
To eliminate the Free play Floppy trigger, I install a Torsion spring on the trigger pivot pin, that puts a forward pressure, and doesn't let it just Flop around.

The second way is to drill and tap a set screw down thru the Bolt Stop on the trigger, that will let the trigger be adjusted for a crisper let off by lowering the sear engagement.
But if you want a Really Great Trigger, and add a Side Thumb Safety, then install a Timney trigger thar they make for them now.
The Timney takes a lot of stock inletting to install them, but I think they are well worth it if you have a good rifle capable of good accuracy.
I was lucky and one of my rifles has a trigger for the Finnish Sniper rifle, that the Trigger is actually Pinned to the Sear and doesnt have a pin thru the receiver like most MN triggers.
There are other ways I have experimented with Roller triggers, where I cut out the cross bar in the front of the trigger and installed a cross pin that had a Roller bearing that rode on the top of the sear for a better pull.
But I never had much luck with Thinning the Sear to lessen the tension to get a better pull.
I ended up with accidental firing when the bolt was slammed shut due to not enough up pressure to engage the sear properly.
I have never tried the Hubber Roller trigger, but it is always another option, but I feel the Timney is a better option for almost the same money because you get a Good Safety to boot.
