Webley Fosbery. Yes, it is an autoloader even though it does go round and round. As to why. Simple, too darned expensive. Last one in good shape I saw was $7000.
Plus 1 on that. I've seen two in the last year, and both were in the $5K range.

It's an elegant thing, in a clunky manner. Typical of a design that was over-engineered to no good end.

Kimber Crimson Ultra Carry II
My wife won't buy be one for Christmas because she has already bought me a $900 double barrel shotgun for Christmas for my SASS shooting. I tried to explain to her that I only had one 1911 and every self respecting man in Alabama must have more than one 1911. What should I do? I'm thinking about wearing pink frilly shirts and pants and putting a bumper sticker on my SUV saying "I only own one 1911, so I'm a sissy because my wife won't buy me a second 1911". Do you think it will work? Help I need advice.

Don't wear a pink shirt. People will think that you're a skeet shooter.

Have you considered any of the following?
  • Whining
  • Refusing to eat your peas
  • Stomping out the door
  • Pouting
I'm sure there are some other forms of passive resistance.

Well, when he brought up the pink frilly shirts, I just couldn't help myself! :D :D :D

Thanks, and a Happy-Post-Thanksgiving to you and yours!!

My choice is easy, my Glock Gen III G22 (.40). It is 100% reliable, light, simple and has wealth of info and parts out there. The Glock is a weapons system.

pretty much anything above 600 bucks...that's my self imposed limit on a firearm..
My limit is 500 bucks (usually), so I'm even worse off! :)

Most top quality 1911's are out of my range. The "higher price/lower capacity" syndrome hasn't seduced me yet.

LAR Grizzly in .45 mag. They were always expen$ive, but now, of course, they're in the stratosphere.

One day someone will be selling one from an estate sale, don't know what they have, etc. But then my conscience won't allow me to make anything but a fair offer.
