A new one fresh from the bench

Here is one I just finished for my good friend Brian Herman.
1/8" inch D2, Hollow ground, red liners, 1/8" mosaic pins, and stabilized pine cone.

Very nice! I too like the handle especially! How did you "stableize" the pine cone?? Just epoxy it to death?

Thx for reply, Harv Jr. I was thinking, "Gee, I've got LOADS of pine cones; mebbe I could put some of them to good use..."

Was looking for a start on the technique.

Lovely knife, and very neat handle; if someone has access to a lot of epoxy, pine cones and a wood lathe, they could probably turn out grips like this for whatever they wanted. I'm thinking they suspended the pine cones inside a paper cup, filled it with epoxy, and rough-turned them into blanks after the epoxy cured.
