How do you hug while carrying a concealed handgun

I'm a hugger. With that said I don't make it a habit of hugging people I barely know and if you know me well enough to hug me then you probably also know I carry. I normally carry in my right front pocket so the average hug just doesn't get that intimate.

BTW the gun is a small one.

if I don't trust somebody well enough for them to know I carry, I wont be hugging them.

Only my wife knows

and pants pocket carry, with a flat autoloader, makes it a non-issue.

I have been working in nightclubs and bars for 35 years.

I have hugged thousands of people while carrying. I always walked unescorted women that I knew to their cars..

I can't recall ever having a negative reaction from anyone feeling my sidearm.

I think people should just carry and live your life normally.

Five hugs yesterday. Normal hugs because they're better than low arm hugs. Everyone bumped my 1911 but no one said anything about it or seemed to care because the hug takes priority I guess. If someone did say something then I would take the opportunity to say that it's safer there in my holster than in the car or at home alone waiting to be stolen.

Funerals and Weddings

Yes I am a hugger too.
My wife is he only one who comments on printing etc.
I ask a lot too.
I never had a comment about bumping the iron.
I was a lot more concerned before I had a permit.

I'm just a little curious ... some of us are old enough that we were carrying concealed firearms before the advent of the internet ...

... How did people figure out ways to deal with hugging or using the public restroom when we didn't have gun forums in which to ask these questions?

I like the a-- out method. Side hugs don't work for the way I carry.

I hug like I mean it.............

Lots of place to place/carry your weapon that won`t reveal you have one . As in the small of you back. It`s called adjusting to the moment.
