One may land in my safe pretty soon. More than likely the wife will try to snatch it though. She likes the classic looking firearms.

Next is the R53. Like the Korth PRS with 1911 butt and lockwork under an entirely different operating system. The Pedersen Navy for the 21st Century.

If reviews are good and I like how it feels, maybe a year or two down the road.
I made the mistake of buying one of the first Versamax shotguns off the line which required a new barrel out of the box, and two separate trips back to Remington for repair within a year. I am done testing new product for Remington.

This one didn't initially attract my attention, but in reading about and looking at the design & features more closely it seems impressive. At 20 oz it's light enough to carry and it looks like they may have hit a sweet spot on size. Trim but with enough of a grip for a secure hold it seems.
Things I like especially are the undercut trigger guard and beavertail design of the rear frame allowing a high grip, the snag free design with cool 1950's type space-agy retro style, +p rating, supposed good single action type trigger and the reasonable price. I'll be keeping my eye out for this one, especially with the CT grip. Looking at it right now it seems promising that Remington may have just hit a bullseye for a compact carry gun.

I've not been this excited about a gun in a long time.
- I just don't get any of the "ugly" sentiments. IMHO its in the top 5 best looking guns I've seen.
- Alloy frame.
- Interesting action type
- VERY low bore axis
- undercut trigger guard
- As a result of the above, its a very "short" pistol height-wise but with a lot of grip
- No thumb safety
- Snag-free sights
- Less than $400
Honestly just as far as a wishlist Remington seems have gotten everything right with this gun. One of these will most certainly be mine.

I really want want. Told the LGS to get me one as soon as they can. All their boys are at Shot 2014. I plan to write a full review once I get my meaty, filthy grubby little paws on this sick panda.
