I noticed you can see the flight of the bullet in a disruption of the visual field in the right side of the camera frame. Cool!

That's pretty good shooting.
Now if you could just do that off-hand.....

You're making us all look bad clayne. ;) I wish I had places to shoot like that with that much range. I'd have to buy a different rifle than what I have though or just build my Savage 110 into a much better shooter. I have a 12 LRPV that does great to about 500 yards. That's as far as I've got to shoot it though. I don't know what I could do with it on a longer range.

Sorry Cee Zee, that is not my intention,

If your gun does good at 500 yards im sure it will do good further out also :)

Nice job clayne. It shows you do not have to burn 150 grains of powder to get good hits at that range

Great shooting, and love your range! Nothing like that here in southwest PA (that I'm aware of). Nice video, too; always cool to see bullet trace.

Sorry Cee Zee, that is not my intention,

You know I was just joking, right? I'm amazed at being able to hit a target at that range with a cold bore though. Most rifles are sighted in with a warm bore essentially. And almost all rifles will shoot at least a little different when they are cold compared to when they are warm. So either you have a rifle that doesn't have that problem or you know what to expect from a cold bore shot. I have rifles that shoot pretty much the same with a cold or a warm bore but they are .22's. There's a lot more heat generated with a 6.5 Creedmoor. I would think it has a lot more tendency to shoot different cold. But maybe not. I'm just guessing here really. It's based on what my own centerfire rifles do but it's still a guess.

Whatever the case that's some fine shooting.

CeeZee, I see more cold bore issues with my 22s then I do with centerfire rifles, strange..

I pretty much only fire my 30-06 cold bore. As my hunting rifle, this makes sense. Love to have a range I could shoot that far, longest shots I've been able to do were 330 yards up in fairbanks, and I was doing milk jugs offhand, and soda cans sitting.

Good shooting Clayne.

Can you give me more details on the 308 ammunition your using?

The video was done with a 6.5 Creedmoor,

Day 1-19 was with my .308 Shooting 168gr SMK with fed brass, on top of 45gr Varget
