Any of these worth buying

#52, A Hi-Point C9 is a blow-back action and does not lock up. Just a spring holding it closed. In a 44Mag? I wouldn't shoot it. Sounds like a good way to get that big slide stuck into your forehead.

#45.........Colt model 1917 double action 45acp. I guess my neighbor bought it. He called and wants to know if he 'has' to use moon clips in it. Told him I had no idea but would ask on here. So, does he?

I would love to have the opportunity to bid on many of them. Particularly the 625 Smiths and the 1911. It all comes down to price. Do your homework on current prices and inspect carefully before the auction. And don't get caught up in the bidding frenzy. Have a price in mind before the bidding starts.

Depends...

If its an early one without chamber steps, then yes, either moon clips (1/3,1/2 or full) are required for the gun to shoot at all.

If it has chamber steps, then single rounds may be loaded and fired, but will require a rod of some sort to extract. Moon clips work much better.

Of course, .45 Auto Rim maybe used successfully in both cases.
