I own both, plus smith shield ,I carry my sig more than any, the smith next.Just my preferance tho. All are dependable well made guns.None are better than the other.I just like the feel and the way a sig or smith feels and shoots better than my Glock 19.It's like Ford and Chevy..I own both and like both, never a problem with any I have owned..Some people are just die hard one brand or the other, fact is you can get bad in anything man made..man is not perfect nor is anything man has made..

I own a Glock 30S in .45ACP and a Sig 1911 Scorpion 5" barrel in .45ACP. I carry the Glock due to its smaller size and larger capacity (10+1 vs 8+1) and the fact it conceals a bit better. But, I enjoy shooting the Scorpion much more. It's a larger gun, tames the recoil much better and has a far smoother, lighter trigger than the Glock 30S. I would not hesitate to use either in a life-or-death situation, but as I said in an earlier thread: I'll carry the Glock all day, but I'll shoot the Sig all day.

Ive owned a number of both and wouldnt have an issue with any of them.

On second thought, you can keep the P238, but thats really not a true P series SIG. :)

I sold off most of my SIG's a few years back and went strictly with Glocks, simply because I get more for my money with them.

I carry a SIG P239 in .40/.357 and a SIG P230. I also have a 226 that is my #1 shooter. None have ever malfunctioned. My Glock G20sf is my office gun/hunting sidearm. Big, heavy, blocky, ugly but very reliable. Not as accurate as the SIGs for me. I don't like holstering the Glock, It is too easy to ND. I like SA/DA for carry.

G19 on duty, 226 off duty.

G on, as it is lighter and easier to clean.

226 off, as I'm not wearing the other 25 pounds of kit, and the SA is the cat's ass for those scenarios.
