That's a good price. You can always use them for trading material down the road.

I still have a box of 1,000 gas checks (I paid $32 bucks for)
I bought 4 boxes of 1,000 gas checks for $11 each, no tax and no shipping cost.
What I'm asking is based on the experience of my fellow reloaders here, should I do another order of 10 boxes of these things even if I wouldn't need them for 4-5 years. Is $11 per box a "better jump on that deal" price or are these things going to settle back down to a price that is much lower than $30 for 1,000 anyway?

I just ordered 10 boxes of them on the gamble there's even a slight chance they will actually be delivered at that price. I also ordered 10 boxes of 44's at $14/box and 3 boxes of 375's at $13 because they popped up in the suggestions list.
I will be very surprised if Amazon fulfills this order at the advertised prices.

If they're shipping from China I wouldn't bet the farm on delivery anytime soon or at that price.

There's news on the cheap gas check front. I received an email update from Amazon today saying:
It seems as if Amazon may indeed intend to make good on the $11/K price that prompted this thread, but if you follow the original link you will find they aren't $11 anymore.

So after all is said and done Amazon delivered nine of the 23 boxes of gas checks I ordered. They delivered eight boxes of 30 caliber and one box of 375 in four total shipments.
They sent an email telling me the 10 boxes of 44 were unavailable, but just seemed to delete the remaining four boxes from the rest of the order as if they never existed. Still, I bought 9000 Hornady gas checks for $101 so I shouldn't complain. That's more than I expected to get.
