What's the most accurate handgun you've fired?

A Colt Delta Elite. Beautiful gun, and kept VERY tight groups at 25yds off a rest.

However, the gun that I'm most accurate with, in terms of practical shooting (anything but groups), is my Gen 4 G21. I don't think "laser" and .45 ACP go together due to its football-like trajectory, but I really am like a laser with it. I know where it hits at range, it fits my hand better than anything, and I'm just used to it.

Saleen: ok....manufacturer of that one?

That's a Pardini free pistol.

tuj is right as usual, it is a Pardini FPM (M: mechanical trigger). Like most free pistols, it is capable of tearing one ragged hole at 50 meters.

Pardini

Salleen: I wondered about that. It is much more streamlined than my old Pardini shown in post #76.

S&W Model 14 Target Masterpiece

3 inch at 50 yards, 1 inch @ 25 yards and one hole under 15 yards all day long, PPC Distinguished Revolver (Box Stock) all double action only. Purchased new in the late 60's, easily over 10,000 rounds fired and still tight and accurate as the first day!

Now for real accuracy but custom revolvers, that would be my Alan Tanaka or Bill Davis PPC Revolvers we're talkin' 1 inch @ 50 yards, double action only! For Semi-auto that would be my S&W PPC 9, similar accuracy!

1955 S&W 5" .357 Magnum at 100 yards.

I'd bet it could do better if the target wasn't so blurry.

I've shot a lot of semi-autos and revolvers over the years. A lot. And believe it or not, the one gun I could hit with better than anything else was not a gun generally known for its accuracy: a .40 caliber Glock G22 with Winchester 165 grain ammo. I could knock down steel plates 50 yards away all day long with that gun. Another accurate gun was a Taurus PT92...now owned by a family member. I couldn't believe how accurate that gun shot when I first shot it.
I've shot my share of 1911s over the years, some of which retail for more than I make in a week. I've never been able to shoot .45 ACP, .357 SIG, or .357 mag all that great. Ditto, mostly, for 9mm. Don't ask me why, but I don't seem to be able to shoot any handgun caliber better than I can .40 S&W.

It is the current model of Pardini free pistol. It is available with either the electronic or mechanical trigger. I am not good enough to tell the difference so I went with the mechanical. All of the Pardini (and Hammerli) free pistols are very accurate. This one is just supposed to have more sight radius and more adjustments to take better advantage of the accuracy. I was shooting a TOZ and a Walther and this one just feels better in my hand.

Pure accuracy incarnate!

Beretta 76. A .22lr target pistol that shot like a dream right out of the box. I bought it new in the '80s. I was in my early '20s at the time, and shot all the time on my dad's property. All kinds of guns, all kinds of calibers and loads. As much as I could afford...and then some more just for good measure. :)

No gun I've ever shot was more accurate right out of the box than that particular gun was. It was slick, sweet and pure accuracy incarnate!

Back then, I was on a 1911 kick, so traded it off in my search back then for the "perfect 1911" (my university period funds were limited, so "gun money" had to be "recycled"). Damn all those gun magazine articles touting 1911s! They cost me one sweet pistol! (j/k)

Those 1911 supremacy touts and the scar I got on the palm of my hand from the very square, very sharply cornered front sight of the gun while trying to separate the slide from the frame for cleaning.

Back then I didn't know about the simple trick shown in the following video:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IG25sgWraLM

Using his method would turn the gun's only weakness -- the difficulty of pulling the slide loose from the frame -- into no weakness at all. Shame it didn't occur to me to try it at the time. Sharing this to keep anyone else from the same nasty flesh ripping my palm took from the gun's front sight back then.

A great gun. Super accurate. Wish I had it today. It was sweet to shoot!

I can say it would be my 4" S&W model 13. The most accurate semi I own is my glock 19. At 25 yards I can hit plates regularly with a friends reloads. This tells me the gun has the potential to be really accurate.

Rimfire : S&W mod 17 (6") and/or Browning "Medalist
Centerfire : S&W mod 14 (6") and/or SIG P-210 (9x19mm)

I have 2 of 'em

a 4" S&W M10-5 & 5 1/2" Uberti 1873 Cattleman.
Both of 'em would win you a medal.

My S&W M41 that would only accurately shoot one flavor of ammo with any regularity but not reliably.....had to let it go...
