Anyone here have these grips on their J frame?

Those thin "banana" grips can be uncomfortable to shoot with heavier recoiling loads in a J. If you're gonna shoot it with those on it you may look at getting a Tyler T grip.

Nothing remarkable about the style of grip, but the do look good.

I second the Tyler-T-Grip recommendation.

Those look great. Shoot with them before you decide to add the T-grip.

Google Tyler-F-Grip. They are still in business.

Hold off on the T-Grip if you wish, but it's a foregone conclusion. You'll want it.

I had a set of those in redwood on my 637. They are much more comfortable and shootable when used with a T grip.

I prefer that style grip with my J frames as they keep the gun as small as possible. They do suck shooting wise without the T grip though.

Those grips pictured look like they are made by Altamont. Altamont grips are stabilized wood, that is, a plastic material is forced thjrough the wood under pressure. This allows the wood to be machined much like metal with minimum waste.

Real wood with all the feel of plastic. I'll not have them on my guns.

Those are the original 640 grips that were standard when the first 640 rolled off the assembly line. They are just fine for me.
