What I would LIKE for CCW . . . . is something that isn't produced and probably never will be.

A thinner CZ Rami type pistol.

In Fl it's not always what you prefer, but what you can hide without profiling with a tee shirt. So I pocket carry, either a PM9, or an XDS. If I were allowed to Open carry it would be a full-sized or compact gun like one of my Glocks or xd.

I have flipped and flopped more than a bream on a creek bank. I finally just decided that I would commit to a platform. I now carry one of two guns a Glock 26 or a Glock 19. They share internals, operate the same, share holsters and mags and are reliable and accurate. I dont find them fat as some find them. I find them comfortable.

Depends on where I am, what I'm gonna be doing, activities involved and dress code.

My main squeeze is a Beretta Px4 subcompact. I also will pocket carry a Ruger LCR. I'll also tuck a Colt 1903, Glock 42 or 26, or a Dan Wesson 15-2VH snubbie.

VooDoo

Out of your list I would choose the Glock but I don't like the items on the list as I am a 1911 guy. I would choose a Glock because I KNOW it would work.

I just spoke with a beretta cs person. He informed me that the nanos are designed for quality defense ammo. Am mom. He said 115 gr wwb shouldn't be an issue but if it is they'll take care of me

I'm getting the nano

I didn't vote. With the limited amount of info you have given us, I suggest you start by deciding what is the smallest caliber you will be comfortable carrying. Once you have made that decision then I would suggest you look at the pistols in the smaller, single stack category first. My thinking is everyone needs a backup gun so since you appear to be new to carrying, why not start by looking at this as selecting your eventual backup gun? Starting with a smaller, slimmer pistol will also give you more confidence that you aren't printing as you get used to carrying in public. This seems to be a big concern of a lot of new carryers so let's nip that one in the bud right out of the chute.

Carry the smaller, slimmer gun for a year or so, practice dressing around the gun, drawing from concealement, etc. and by the time you get your carry confidence and gun handling skills up you will have a better idea of what you want for a primary carry gun. At that point your first carry gun takes on the role of backup gun and moves down to your ankle or in a pocket. Easy Peasy.

I prefer the compacts: Glock 19, Walther P99, CZ75 compacts.
Their barrels are between 3.8 and 4" and grips are just big enough to fit your whole hand.

But I'll admit, a slimmer gun with less grip does conceal better in some situations.

1911 @ .45 ACP. It was the first gun I trained with seriously as it was also my duty gun professionally for many years. Otherwise, at times, I have no issue whatever packing something else. Given the situation, perhaps a Ruger SR22. All said and done, for you, as with everyone else, once 9,463 THR's active of 193,440 members speak their piece, yours will be the only opinion that counts. Cheers! :)

Beretta cheetah, or taurus pt92 stainless. My next(odd) carry piece will be a small SA wheel gun like a bearcat shopkeeper special preferably 22 mag.

In a gun that size my choice would be the Sig P290RS.

But I wouldn't pick a gun that size.

I spent MONTHS doing my homework before deciding on a Ruger SR9c. It's one of the slimmest compacts on the market , very accurate, great trigger, standard 10 rd mag with an extra 17 rd.

No, it doesn't pocket carry, but with a good holster the gun disappears under the lightest of summer clothes and I do not - do not - need another "summer" carry gun.

I now have a gun that conceals great but has most of the benefits of a full size gun, including the ability to put a LOT of lead in a small area in a short amount of time. In other words, I chose shootability over palm size convenience.

But... this is what's right for me. Take your time, do a LOT of objective homework, think about all factors in how easy it will be to use your gun when needed...then spend your money.

I agree with everyone who said that you have to shoot them. I have a CZ P-01 which I find is fatter than I like for CCW. LOVE the gun, so it's not going anywhere. However, I was at a dealer showcase at an LGS and shot an XDS 9. Within 4 shots I knew it was going home with me, though there are several others I prefer the looks of. I had to go with the one that felt the most natural in my hand and shot where I pointed it. I shot the Shield and M&P Compact 9 and was very surprised that I didn't like them nearly as much.
