Does anyone here know when Colt changed the D frame Colts to the newer style grips and the ejector shroud? The first gun I ever bought was a week or two before Christmas, 1971. It was a Colt D.S. for my mother. I bought it new at a high volume retail outlet, and it was the older style. I saw on another forum a 1970 ? NIB Colt Detective Special and newer model than Mother's( in my safe). Any help with model changes? Thanks in advance for your help.
