Is there a new production cap lock or inline shotgun on the market that takes interchangeable chokes? I would like a SxS smokepole to use for game purposes.

I have read several threads where the owners of Pedersolis had choke tubes.
If your barrel are thick enough, any competent gunsmith can thread them and install choke tubes.
Neither my Navy Arms Pietta nor my CVA side x sides has any choke at all.

Mine is a Navy Arms 12ga sxs with fixed tubes. It is a kick to hunt turkeys with.
As a long time sxs shooter, I dont see the need for tubes in a sxs with full and modified barrels. I know full is too much for quail over dogs, but you can still make featherburgers with skeetxskeet.
in fact....I only own one shotgun with tubes.(my 28ga quail gun) FWIW I contend that tubes arent necessary and would't be a dealbreaker if I found a gun I liked with acceptable and suitable fixed chokes for my intended purpose.

I've hunted quail and chucker, as well as pheasant with my SXS 12ga. front loader, with no problem. I've got no idea why you would want the screw in chokes. I know for a fact they didn't have them back when these guns were in there hey day.

West Kentucky, Years ago I tried some of the old herters plastic shot cups in my double. Boy was that high on the learning curve. At 25 yards the shot cup hit the back stop and made one large hole in the target. I love BP shotguns, you can achieve almost any pattern with just the load combinations. Good luck with your shooting.

Even so, I have a caplock, fixed choke M and IC, 20 gauge SxS from Pedersoli, and you use wads in those guns. The fiber wads compress and then expand and seal. Cork wads are a no-go. Works well on chukkar, quail, and pheasants.
