We just bought a Browning Gold Hunter in camo 3 1/2 for duck, geese and mainly turkeys. We have heard good reports about the SumToy choke tubes. What has anyone else heard about the quality and function of these choke tubes? Thanks

Never heard of them. If they cost more than Browning chokes, don't waste your money. I see too many guys buying into the hype about some ''wonder choke''.

I definitely prefer the browning chokes, especially in my Browning Gold Hunter, not to mention in my BT-99. Can't see any reason for buying anything else.

As mentioned, do NOT overthink this. Browning's OEM chokes (most likely made by Briley), are very well made and close to being exact in relation to the bore. That being said, Briley, Trulock, Teague, Carlson's, and others, are all well made, but not necessarily any better than what came with the gun. The only reason to buy an aftermarket choke is because you are looking for a constriction that is not offered by the OEM.

Thanks for all your import. We just wanted to try something different..toys and boys . We did pattern the Browning chokes, Briley, and Carlson ,all worked well. Like I said this choke was mainly for turkey hunting and I like to pattern my shotgun at different yardage,up to forty yards. Read a article about the SumToy chokes and thought we would give them a try with different brands of shells...Thanks again
