LC9 trigger kit by Galloway

Yes I had one, and it was very difficult to get it to reset. Even at the maximum adjustment, it would fail to reset 50% of the time. I would have had to have taken a file to it if I wanted to get it so that it worked. Instead I sold it.

I just installed a kit from their last batch. the RTK trigger bottoms out right after the break. The reset is fine, but take up is very sloppy and it stacks way worse than stock. the trigger stops are set for max travel. If I try to shorten/eliminate take up, I get no break. I am very unhappy with it and think it is a gimmick.

I have an open email going with a gunsmith at Galloway. I am waiting on their response. If they want me to file the frame to give more break breathing room, the stock trigger may go back in. It sounds like the fellow before me had frame clearance issues in front of the trigger. Mine are behind.

Just heard back from Eric Galloway. Aparently the older model LC9's had tolerance stacking that puts the break very near end of trigger travel. His new kits are very precise. I had no need to touch the connector bar at all. The trigger and connector must be used together with the stock hammer. in my case the rear trigger opening in frame is shorter. The Ruger production tolerances are the issues. It is a gamble you take when going aftermarket. I will see how she shoots at the range and then decide.

It works great. No issues with reset.

Just leave the gun stock and shoot it. You'll get used to it. I shoot the stock trigger just fine.

I don't even notice the long pull.

I have both an LC 9 & an LC 380. I am not thrilled with the trigger compared to my other guns but I would not touch it if I carry it for CC. I have a Lasermax on both & do like them as well as my Crimson Trace for targets. The CT is probably better for defense.

I was going to post my target, but had trouble with posting it like I do on the Walther site. I did put 14 shots into the bull at 25' with the Lasermax & LC 9. That was after I zeroed it in with my first 7 shots.That was fine for defense as I am over 80 & still love to shoot.

My favorite small carry 9 is an XDs 9 with big dot sights. If I learn to post here I will put the target on.

The gun shot, but the trigger wobble , at least on the early models was just annoying and felt like it was about to come off. Personally I could not trust a gun that felt like that for carry, maybe one day it would have fallen off. The internals were made very sub standard, with a trigger bar that came right off when removing the firing control mechanism and was held on by the plastic frame. I just didn't trust mine. The LCP was actually made better.

Galloway Precision Kit for LC9

Yes I ordered and incorporated the 35% kit myself. I had a problem making the trigger adjustment as per Galloway's video. I called Galloway and they said the trigger bar would have to be ground down some. Just got my LC9 back and went target practicing. There is definitely a big improvement in the trigger pull. I did notice that my shots were three inches lower than where I was aiming. I believe that is just me and need to get used of this trigger.

After owning an LC9 for about 2 years, I never got comfortable with the trigger and I refused to spend the money for one of these kits in hope of improving it.

Sold it and wen't with a Shield. Other than being a little bigger, it's a better pistol in many ways IMO.
