Anyone have a recommendation for a gunsmith specializing in Ruger No. 1 rifles?

I just found one for cheap that some shoemaker buggered up when he tried to rechamber (overtightened the barrel--hard to see how he could have considered it to be right, since the scope base is still on it and it's canted), so I need to have it rebarreled and it also needs a new extractor. Time is not a concern, price is (not looking for another moron, but not going to drop a grand on a rebarrel either).

Thanks.

Since this is a repair and not a modification, why not Ruger? They would charge you for the new barrel since someone else fouled it up, but labor should only be at a nominal cost. Your new barrel - if they have it in stock - would also have to be in the original caliber the rifle was chambered for; they have a policy of only returning firearms to original condition. They would also take care of the extractor. To find out for sure would only cost you a phone call.

Still on the lookout for a gunsmith who can rebarrel and upgrade a No. 1 to match-grade performance. Anyone have a recommendation?
