Berkeley professor urges US JIhad

Im finding it more and more difficult to retain my impartial opinion regarding this particular "religion of peace". Sure the vast majority of muslims are likely really great regular people. But, i can't help but think that people are at least partially responsible for their own leaders.

If Islamic people are TRULY concerned with peace then maybe they should be doing something about these leaders of theirs who are supporting this sort of thing.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

My thoughts, exactly. I am finding it harder and harder to think that Islam, in its modern practice, is a religion at all. A political movement perhaps, but a "religion of peace?"

Many Sundays at church, we are exhorted to about the evil's of judging Muslims in a negative fashion. I am finding it harder and harder to buy into this.

And, why is the US Muslim contigent quiet on this subject?

So I want to write hima letter or perhaps a letter tot he papers but I don't want to just wing accusations at him about something I'm hearing about 3rd hand or 4th hand. If I had something to cite like a newspaper or transcript that would be excelent otherwiseI've got nothing, burden of proof is on me he just wing insults calling me a brain wahed status quo robot and I can call hima treasonous terrorist insighting supporter of butcherors but eitherway nothing iwll be gained.

I can't believe these people actually believe garbage like this

ACTION ALERT: DEFEND FREE SPEECH
STOP THE ATTACKS ON DR. HATEM BAZIAN!

Dr. Hatem Bazian, a highly respected lecturer at the University of California, Berkeley in the Near Eastern Studies and Ethnic Studies Departments, is being victimized by a mean-spirited national right-wing campaign. His just defense of the Palestinian people and his call to end war and suffering of all in Iraq are being maliciously portrayed as "incitement of violence and sedition."

poor easily led fools. Oh well I sent a letter to the chancellor of the University as this website suggests and kindly gives the contact information for. I'll post any reply

I beleive the good Dr. Hatem has a right to free speech. I also believe in my own God given right to connect my fist to the nose of people who don't like America. I can't believe that someboby hasn't b***h-slapped this Bozo. Is this why California is called the "Land of Fruits and Nuts?" An old fashioned public ass whipping would do wonders to improve the Dr's behavior. Just my $0.02 worth.

From killermarmot's link:
During his student years, he fully championed the rights of disenfranchised communities, people of color, supported ethnic, labor and gender studies, and worked to organize an effective U.S. student movement on a national scale in opposition to both NAFTA and GATT.
In other words he is a communist organizer. How is it the only place int he world that communism remains viable is in student organizations in the US? (Here, for the sake of argument I will pretend George Soros is a capitalist.) Put kids to work for a summer and they suddenly lose interest in this sort of crap.

Surely it is coincidental his name is Hate-m?

call the Berkeley campus police

Like a Duck

I completely agree, gunsmith.

If you or I made even a veiled threat toward our President or any member
of Congress, we'd have a chance to talk to several members of the
Secret Service and FBI within hours of the statement Here is a man who has made fairly open threats against the whole country...He should be thoroughly investigated and deported or exiled. Time to stop playing
PC Patty-Cake with these crazies and do what needs to be done.

"Well, we've been watching intifada in Palestine, we've been watching an uprising in Iraq, and the question is that what are we doing? How come we don't have an intifada in this country?
Because it seem to me, that we are comfortable in where we are, watching CNN, ABC, NBC, Fox, and all these mainstream ... giving us a window to the world while the world is being managed from Washington, from New York, from every other place in here in San Francisco: Chevron, Bechtel, [Carlyle?] Group, Halliburton; every one of those lying, cheating, stealing, deceiving individuals are in our country and we're sitting here and watching the world pass by, people being bombed, and it's about time that we have an intifada in this country that change fundamentally the political dynamics in here.

And we know every – They're gonna say some Palestinian being too radical – well, you haven't seen radicalism yet!"

He is just misunderstood. Right? :scrutiny:

We can use their info to voice complaints instead of support.

Rebellion?

intifada - insurrection, rebellion

When Hammas forces young Palestinian wives to blow themselves up and take Jewish children with them as some kind of "atonement" for adultery, thats murder, not rebellion.

When 16yr old confused kids straps on a suicide bomb and kills a bunch of little kids at a pizza parlor so Saddam could send a small fortune to his family ,thats murder, not rebellion.

Intifada is murder.
That they call it rebellion does not make it so.

Hey gunslith,

I was just showing the basic definition that they will use to say that He was not trying to cause violence just political insurrection.

He will say that he was just misunderstood.:scrutiny:

On O'Reilly last night.

I watched the "good" Dr. on O'r last night. He claims his call to kill Jews is a fabrication that someone put in a book and he is doing legal action against them. That may well be. However, he does not condemn Hammass and the other murdering outfit in Palestine or where ever they are. O'r asked him two or three times if he condemned them and he answered that he condemned all violence against innocents. Always a general "condemnation" but never a specific one. Sortta liberaleze, methinks. When asked if he condemned the 9/11 actions he said "yes" very softly and went right into how he translated something or other concerning 9/11, I guess, for somebody.

Methinks he's the enemy.

Well he's a ray of sunshine isn't he? He is suggesting rebellion and all that...

...but (and you knew it was coming) I think some of you have over-reacted to the Islamic aspect of this.

From what I have read in what TaurusCIA posted above he is suggesting rebellion against; "Chevron, Bechtel, [Carlyle?] Group, Halliburton; every one of those lying, cheating, stealing, deceiving individuals". He's using the Palestinian word 'intifada' but in its meaning of uprising.

Now he's not right to advocate this at this juncture - but then some of you advocate similar should they come for your guns.

St Johns, I have a "connectivity" problem with your comment, "Now he's not right to advocate this at this juncture - but then some of you advocate similar should they come for your guns."

A rant calling for violence against corporations is an individual's idea. "They" coming for guns is an effort to render an entire people helpless.

:), Art

No, I do see that Art.

I guess I'm not entirely up to scratch with my pro-gun stuff. I'll try harder.

I hope I didn't sink the rest of what I was saying there.
