Dozens and dozens of police are at this moment surrounding Reynolds High School in Troutdale, Oregon, on report of "an active shooter" in the school. Students are streaming out single-file in two directions with their hands up.
News reports are that five local police officers, first on the scene, rushed the building and have the shooter cornered in a bathroom. Apparently, at least one teacher has been injured.
We really, really need more resources and more importance devoted to mental difficulties. We don't need to lose more innocent citizens to this madness, and we don't need the fuel this craziness adds to the anti-2A fires.
