Anybody feel like a shoot Sunday April 25th, at Brown's Camp, "High Noon"? There's room for clays, Tannerite and full auto friendly, over 150 yards to upper back wall, parking right at the edge so no need to carry gear.

Channel 2 has a positive forcast for Sunday! (Cross fingers.)

The quarry is off highway 6 about a mile past the Washington County Line.

Take a left off hwy 6 at the road maintenance shop. At the T in the road go right toward Brown’s Camp. Take the first turn off to the right, (it goes down hill over a small bridge at the bottom and back up again.) There stay to the left at the turn off for University Falls. You’ll come to another T, take a right. The quarry is on the left side of the road just pass the trees. If people are shooting you’ll hear them at the last T.

See ya there!

And for those that might worry about such things as meeting crazed lookin' gun toting strangers in the woods the Forest Cops do patrol the area. Lots o' families stop by to shoot. Been shooting their three years now, no problems. Plus lots of ATV traffic on the road with 'em stopping by to watch or join in.

Holy rubbish!!

Looks like you need a cleaning party !! That place is loaded with garbage !

Everytime I go shooting we take out more trash than we bring.

Sadly yes it is. I try to leave it better than I find it but sometimes it's a losing battle. This year seems worse than others.

Archeologists of the future are going to have a field day with this site someday.

I plan on bein' there. I've been looking for an outdoor place to shoot on the West side anyhow.

At the same instant I send you an email about shooting Sunday, I see a post for Browns Camp, right after posting.

Darn.

I told you in said email I was heading to the general "Dump" area to camp Saturday and was going to shoot Sunday.

Well, can't be in two places at the same time, but I WILL be there next time.

:(

Trust me, there will be many "next times."

Enjoy your weekend.

Edited to Add: There will be Three Guitar Players murdering music in general Saturday night.

So who's goin to the gun show at the expo? I work saturday so I have to get my ammo sunday...What a bummer.

Where is a good place to buy ammo around here anyway? (too late for online this time!) I usually go to GI Joes, but I can't help but think there might be a better option. Specifically for cheap 9mm. My closest Wall Mart is in St Helens and I'm not going there, and the one time I did, they didn't have the Win value packs everyone talks about anyway.:cuss:

I live on the West side BTW by Skyline Blvd. Gunshow is tempting...but after $6 for parking and $7 for admission, I won't save anything.:banghead:

Gresham, Kieth's
Clackamas area on 82nd, Sportsmans Warehouse
Milwaukie, Northwest Armory

GI Joe's in Hillsboro on Cornell does have some UMC 9mm bulk pack. Not sure of the price but they tend to be spendy. Sometimes they carry Wolf but I didn't see any there today.

WOW, somebody did some housing keeping! The pit was clean. Interesting group today. Had a lot of fun. Got pretty toasty in the sun even with sunblock. Almost out of Tannerite. Time to start saving my pennies again!
