Al-Mar Osprey. But I'll admit I'm not positive on their steel choice and edge retention.

Mcusta Rikyu in VG-10. Looks a LOT like a Leek but I have no personal experience with them.

Have you looked at the Spyderco Military and ParaMilitary? Not that they are exactly like the Leek but they have acquired quite the reputation.

If you don't specifically require a folder there are QUITE a few fixed blades that would be "interesting" to you I'm sure. The one I most likely would recommend is the T.M.Hunt Magua. It's a "fixed blade leek" and VERY well done.

He also can do it without scales so it is even MORE like the leek. I thought there was a picture of it but I can't find it right now.

I love the look and feel of my Leek too but it does get dull really fast. I had to gut and skin a deer with mine once and had to sharpen it twice during the process.

I do own the D2 composite but I dropped it while cutting carrots into a pot, the third day I had it, it hit the stove from about 18" up and snapped the tip off, I still haven't sent it in. Shame because it was wicked sharp.

If you want to stick with the Leek there's a ZDP-189 sprint run. Dead set on cutting cardboard and other abrasive materials then I'd consider the Shallot in s110v (if you want to stick with Kershaw) or a Spyderco Delica in Aogami Super Blue.

If you go larger you open yourself up to a wider array of super steels like Bohler's ELMAX and M390, CPM s90v-s125v, and the Carpenter steels. I like Kershaw a lot, but I've noticed they tend to be a little more conservative with their heat treats, so if you're looking for the most out of a production knife in terms of hardness/edge retention you may want to look elsewhere. If you can find one and don't mind droppin 3 bills a Benchmade 940-1 would be an interesting solution. (slim, light, and S90V, not to mention highly collectible) Spyderco has a few lightweight folders in ZDP and Super Blue, so a Dragonfly, Delica, or Stretch in either steel would be my choice to replace the Leek.

^ your Lowes link doesn't work. or theyre blocking my country due to my location right now.

Im guessing its a box cutter though...

I'll clarify . I'm a Consultant for the O&G industry not a shipping clerk. I am not opening packages daily. Hence, my disappointment with the leek.

I think I've settled on the 470 Emissary. Though need to get my grubby mitts on one to be sure.
