hybrid IWB comfort around 0300?

I've been using Remora's for a couple years now. I like them, they're comfortable and affordable. I EDC a little single stack nine.
I've found I like a VERY STRONG forward cant. With the pistol around 3 o'clock (the rear of the slide closer to 2:30 and the muzzle around 3:30).
I like this because:
1.) I drive all day, with a heavily bolstered seat. Me back can't take a grip in the kidney.
2.) It's immediately accessible in all positions.
3.) It stays unnoticeable, even under just a t-shirt. I can bend over (without doing the CC squat) move around, lean, lift my arms, etc...

So my question is... Do the ubiquitous hybrid holsters work well in this position? Or, would the front "strut(?)" dig into my hip joint, while sitting?
Now that there are a couple companies offering hybrids with synthetic backers. I'm kind of interested.

Thanks!

I'd like to try the hybrid because of the large backer. In the theory that it avoids pressure points. I've had quality all leather IWB'S in the past. Ultimately don't like what heavy sweating, 16-18 hours a day, 6-7 days a week, does to leather. Now that there are synthetic backed hybrids, I'd like to try one... If it'll work in my preferred carry position?

I'd love to recommend something but I gave up on hybrid stuff with plastic because I found it uncomfortable. I drive a lot as well and simply could not stand having a gun behind the hip or the grip sticking in my side for all those hours and kydex just made is worse.

Everybody has different tolerance levels and body shapes and skills and carry guns. I just dropped 30 lbs and went to Appendix IWB and that solved it but I realize this is a drastic thing for most folks to do. Driving and sitting for extended periods with a pistol at or behind the hip just did not work for me and was even worse with plastic backing.

Hopefully someone who gets along with hybrids will be along shortly with better help than I am. :)

I've used an Old Faithful hybrid with a Glock 23. Tried it at 3:00 and I found it really uncomfortable. With an OWB it wouldn't be so bad. As a disclaimer I don't find any IWB holster comfortable at 3:00. I'm a 33 waist so nothing really sits there well.

I really like the remora. It's comfortable, at least for little guns. But you know how it is. Always looking for something new.
I'm 6'-2" and around 240#. About 20# I could stand to loose. I wear a 36" to accommodate the IWB.
I might even be slightly forward of 0300? Because of the strong forward cant. The top of the slide (where the sights are) is right above the crease formed by the top of the thigh where it meets the hip joint (when seated). The junction of grip and slide is just forward of the hip bone (pelvis?). Yet still far enough back that the "Dunlop" doesn't try and fold over it.
I used to carry a J-frame AIWB. But, it's been around 10 years since I was skinny enough to do it.

ETA: Funny thing, I've been wearing a gun for almost twenty years. I've got a "love handle" on my off side but not my strong side. So under a shirt, I look even.

The problem with those hybrid holsters with very wide spaced attachment points, when worn at 3:00, is they could be difficult to draw from as they would be at the point of your hip. They are designed for wear aft of 3:00, where most people will have a large enough flat spot on the body, and the forward cant would be an advantage. However, a large guy at 240ish lbs, may be flat enough at 3:00 that the draw issue wouldn't be much of an issue as long as you can deal with the cant at that clock position.

I recently got an Alien Gear hybrid holster. Leather backing, kydex front shell with widely spaced attachment points. I have always carried a handgun just aft of the point of my hip, regardless of IWB or OWB, somewhere close to the 3:30 position. I am finding that I do like it. The bottom edge of the clips barely protrude past my belt (a Wilderness) and I find my knife, a TDI K-Bar worn at 2:00 on my left side, to be more noticeable (comfort-wise, not concealment) than the front holster clip, which is approximately the same position on my right side.

I doubt I could get as much forward cant as I prefer.

It's the new Alien Gear "Cloak 2.0" I'm thinking about. It's got a neoprene backer, instead of leather. I'd really like the Stealth Gear Onyx. However, $100+ is a lot to spend on an experiment.

You mean 10:00, correct?

Just messing with you a bit. I'm pretty sure I know what you meant to say, but I'm sure other's may not.

My Foxx is very comfy at 3:00 with the smith shield. Actually seems a bit better concealed that at the typical 4:00 position, thanks to a small amount of side fat.
