Powder availabilty.

Local shop has been getting a little in. I have seen H110, IMR4227, 4350, 4895, 7828, and even 8# cans of H4831. The faster pistol and shotgun powders are harder to find though.

I saw an 8# jug of 3031 the other day. $199.95 Left it on the shelf for someone else.

2400 is a good magnum pistol powder. I have 2 lbs of it for a .357 I no longer have.
Guess I need to see what else I can run it in that I still own

I saw some rifle powder, but not much in the way of pistol powder yesterday. Was surprised to see a couple pounds of Benchrest, AA2200, and Xterminator on the shelf. I bought one pound of each and left the other for someone else. First time I've seen powders that I normally use in over a year. Hope that was a good sign overall and not just good timing.

Red Dot has been showing up as the 'Promo' brand but just 8# jugs AFAIK.
Power Pistol is not around here. primers are available at decent prices hit-or-miss.

I just saw 2400, unique, red dot, power pistol, hp-38, w-231 sitting on a the shelf.
OK, it is sitting on my shelf.

My LGS had a pound of H335 which I snatched up and they also had small and large pistol primers, I recently got 5000 CCI small rifle primers from Midway. Slowly the shelves are filling up, very slowly!!!

I find the Western Powder chart easier to read. Don't use these burn rate charts to calculate load data.

Note: This is not saying they are the exact same thing or can be loaded at the same weight as a different powder. Some of the ADI-Hodgdon are the same because ADI makes the powder for Hodgdon. (see Hodgdon MSDS sheets)

I'm the other guy who bought 8# of Unique from Powder Valley, FOR THE VERY FIRST TIME. Relatively new to reloading, and have been waiting maybe 1.5 years to finally try this powder.
