I have an WFT, series one, like it very much and the company was very good to work with. I can't really help you with your specific questions though. I trimmed 1000 pcs last time,very, very quickly. And was a little irritated that I was done so fast!

I was impressed with the WFT in .223, .308, and .30-06 until I tried it in 50BMG. Now I'm in love. I can trim 50+ BMG cases in under a minute with almost no variance in OAL. A drill press is pretty much a necessity with them though.

They (wft) will wear out your hand a bit. I dont use a drill press, though I have developed a technique or two to help lessen the wear and tear factor.

I bought the WFT due' to my dissatisfaction with the 'grinders.' I never looked back. My grinder is now in the back of my junk cabinet, never to be seen again.

I am heavily invested in WFT series one trimmers and like them.

I do like the adjusting system on the Trim-It but I would probably still get one trimmer per cartridge.

I find if I trim alot of cases at one time it is hard on my hands. it helps to wear a glove which prevents blisters. I believe all of them would have this issue.

After trimming about 4000 .223/556 cases by hand in the past year I finally decided I needed a power trimmer. After doing some research the name Giraud kept popping up with many positive reviews for trimming large quantities of cases of a single caliber. Since I had another 3000 cases ready for trimming I finally bit the bullet and ordered one for the expensive price of $420. Besides trimming to length it also chamfers the inside and outside of the case neck at the same time it trims the case. I did 700 .223/556 cases last night in one hour. No sore thumbs, no gloves needed. The actual trim/chamfer time was 2-3 seconds per case. This option may not be for everyone but it's working out well for me so far. It also has a lifetime warranty.

I have Gen 1 WFT's in .223 family, .308 family, and .30-06. Love 'em, set and forget it. The Gen 2 would be nice too. I use them for high volume calibers. I have a small benchtop drill press that I pull the base off of and clamp sideways in my vise. This is an easy to use configuration. Brass shavings will make it out of the trimmer, so do it somewhere that is easily cleaned up. I have found the higher the speed the better, at least for what my old drill press is capable of spinning. I also mark the chamber with several lines so I can easily identify when the trimming has stopped(the chamber will stop spinning when the case is trimmed to length.

The price put me off for a while, then I used the first one. I quickly ordered the other two.

I have a Forster Trimmer so I gave their 3-in-1 trimmers a try and I'm extremely happy with them. I bought one for the 22 Cal. that does my .223 brass and their 30 Cal. trimmer does my 30-06, .308 and 30-30 brass.

Specifically for .223 & 300 BLK. Would it be better to buy one for each caliber of the original model or the WFT2 and the trim chambers for both calibers (or does it come with one trim chamber and I'd only need to buy the 2nd one)? Are there any advantages to using the original vs WFT2 for only 2 calibers?

I use the Possum Hollow trimmer now for .223 & like it, but have never used a WFT so don't know how they compare. Is one more precise? Faster? Less need to stop & clear swarf? Better/cleaner cut?

The Trim-It II is a 3-in-1 trimmer and its micro-adjustable. That or the new Tri Way from Giraud are the way to go.

(Trim-It for multiple calibers, Giraud for single calibers)

Just got the new Tri-way from Giraud. It is a great trimmer. Easy to adjust and easy to use. Now i just have to figure out the best way to power it so it can stay on constantly instead of off/on with a drill motor.

Using a WFT for .223. Love it.
Some of the best money I ever spent. Wish I would have bought it sooner.

I have a Dead-On!!! Trimmer and like it. It is similar to the ez trim but slightly cheaper. My only complaint is that I get slightly different lengths between different head stamps.

Other than that, I like it. If the Giraud would have been available when I got this one I probably would have went that way instead.
