What's Your Pick for POCKET CARRY??

I have tried them all from a J frame, LCP, a 2" K frame, a Rohrbaugh, a 640 centennial, XDS, and then the Kahr PM9.

The Kahr PM9 is accurate and a soft shooter. I have run this gun 300 rounds at a time without a hitch, and it is comfortable to shoot.

I would go with the PM9 without a doubt.

KelTec P3AT in back pocket everyday
P3ATHolster.jpg
Does the P3AT have the same problem with rim lock that the P-32 does, with HP rounds? The P-32 magazine is built for FMJ, which is longer than HP, and HP rds. "lock rims" in the space fluctuations.
That's why I carry my P-32 with the chambered round being a JHP, and the others in the mag are FMJ.

I have a number of pistols that I pocket carry, G42, Solo, PM9, and Nano. Of late the G42 is the one I find myself carrying most often primarily because of its light weight. Of the other three guns, the Solo is the easiest to pocket carry, followed by the PM9, and Nano. I had a Kahr P380, which was by far the easiest to carry and conceal, but IMO it just wasn't reliable enough to rely upon for PD. I will pick up a Beretta Pico if the rumor of such a gun ever becomes reality. I carry using a DeSantis Nemisis or Remora holster.

I enjoyed the pic of your nice vintage Colt .25 ACP.

Someone indicated that I had been rude to you in my posting #223 remarks. That is not and never was my intent. I was simply sharing info and my opinion that a larger caliber weapon would possibly better serve you for self defense. It is your decision, and if that's what you want to carry, do so with my well wishes. A gun is always better than no gun.

Actually, less than a mile from where I'm sitting now, an older man shot and killed a carjacker with his .25 ACP. The .25ACP can and will continue to meet the needs of many for self defense.

Again, I never meant you any disrespect, nor was I trying to "put down" your pistol.

THR should continue to be a place where we all can share info, and learn from each other in an atmosphere of goodwill.

Gun Master-No worries! My Old Pap had that pistol in his pocket until the day he died. I am happy to have it. Truth be told, my daily life keeps me in pretty safe places. But if I feel the need, I have a commander size 1911 and a .38 special snubby to keep me company.

Glad to know you are gun carry savvy, and have the right stuff.:D

You chose to carry your special ".25 Special".
Given the same circumstances, I'd do the same thing.:)

Just picked up a Glock 42, not on my license yet so I can't carry it. But I've been working with it at home and I like it. Amazing what you can hide in cargo pants/shorts.

Sorry Gun Master. Haven't been back until tonight. I have 3 P3AT's and they are all flawless with all ammo. Never had a rim lock or any other malfunction

S&W 642. Small enough to actually be pocketable, sufficient cartridge, more reliable than a pocket semi auto

No. The rimlock is a .32 thing, not .380

If I carried a P32 (I used to as a BUG or deep concealment gun before I decided KelTec's were cheap and unreliable and not durable and sold all three of mine) I would carry all FMJ anyway, since adequate penetration is the most important terminal ballistic factor for stopping an attacker

Taurus PT 709 in the summer, G19 in the winter. We bought the Taurus for my wife but she's hardly interested in carrying it or getting her CCW... not in the order.

Fits the bill and I forget its even in the pocket

Sig 938. Not as cheap as an LCP or similar but my favorite pocket carry.
Couple it with the bulldog holster with the hook and it's a great setup.

I also carry a S&W 638, .38Sp. +P, 17 oz. loaded.

Glock 42

I now carry a .380 ACP GLOCK 42 in a De SANTIS Nemesis holster in my hip pocket. By the way, when you buy new pants, look for ones with deep pockets, the gun is less likely to fall out.

I found the GLOCK 42 to be completely reliable, controllable without excess recoil and easy to conceal. The under 1 pound loaded weight and flat shape make it is easier to conceal than a revolver.

My previous carry was a WALTHER PPK, but the GLOCK 42 is a better choice. More power (my PPK was a .32ACP), less weight, better sights, no manual safety or need to drop the hammer after loading or firing.

When I want to carry a gun it's a S&W Shield, M&P40c or 45c, but for the times I don't want to carry it's a stainless slide LCP in a pocket holster - just in case.

For pocket the most easiest carried for me is the LCP and it gets used a lot in the summer. My S&W 642 gets carried a lot too, in fact the finish is showing it. I have recently purchased a Sig P290RS and am finding it works great for pocket carry with the right pants.

Tried to make an LC9 work and just couldn't find a comfortable way to carry it. After two nights in a row of shots down the street(bad area) I bought an LCP. It's been going everywhere with me. It even fits comfortably in the pockets of my women's jeans which have smaller pockets than men's jeans. I just have to remember to take it out before walking into school. It's a vocational school that bans guns on campus and it prints just enough to be visible. Bonus was that the $5 pocket holster I bought fits and works just fine.
