Sneaky Pete Holsters

They are still huge and anything but "Sneaky".

I got a couple of these from an estate sale and found them interesting outside of their intended use.

While they're well made and I understand the intended concept - they're essentially useless to me in a carry situation.

A situation in which I have found a use for them is in non-wear carry. Here in AZ, open carry is the law of the land yet one can be cited for "brandishing" if the firearm is not in a holster. I have used mine for vehicles in the case of tossing into a motorcycle bag or under/on the seat of a car. Unobtrusive, black and keeps the firearm well protected from crap. For inside a gals purse or a "man-bag" they may be better than most conventional holsters.

These below are intended for Glock 26/27/33 for the larger of the two and the other is S&W Shield. I use them for my AMT .45 Backup and Sig230/PPK size pistols. You can see how large they are relative to the full size 1911 but that doesn't do the thickness justice... these are big!

Wearing? Well that's simply not an option for me. These things are huge for the service provided and are attention magnets. Add to that the opportunity for them to be misidentified as a holder for high end electronics, jewelry courier cases, whatever.

I guess a fella could misdirect/camouflage/fake-out with a dazzling array of other bat-suit items; slide rule case, pen pouch, Portland style fanny pack with water and granola slings...

Take a look at N82 Tactical inside the waistband holsters, I ordered mine for a Ruger SR40 full size pistol and have found I can carry the SR40, Sig SP2022 and a Sig 5 inch barreled 1911 in this one holster. This is by far the most comfortable holster I have ever used for inside the waistband, I often forget it is there. The pad between the pistol and your body is thick and soft meaning no pinch no bind. No I do not have stock in this company, I just think it is a very comfortable wearing holster and deserves a look.

As far as whether I like it or not, I sure do, I live in Indiana which is an open carry state if you have a license. I also live 5 miles from the Mi. line which is a concealed carry state. Makes life easier and I do not like IWB holsters, just me.

I have never noticed any odd looks while wearing this holster.

I have a few of them. The only one that is remotely "concealable" as a smartphone case is the one made for the LCP/P3AT/P32. The others are huge. I only wear those when I don't give a rat's behind whether people know I'm carrying or not (which is rare).

Whether one feels that they conceal or not is immaterial. The fact that meet the criteria is what is important.

And that they do.
