They'll come out easily. A year or two ago when things started getting tight, I bought several thousand LPP in strips just because I thought that if I needed to I could just pop em out and use them the conventional way... Before I knew it I converted over to that system and haven't looked back. I love APS strips for many reasons and that is a killer price!
That's an idea..

Not pointing the fingers at anyone, as I would have bought some too, but without even counting those that read the thread and ordered without listing a number...170K primers minimum were sold from this site alone. Amazing!

I see a permanent, rather than temporary shift in our mentality as reloaders. Not to mention 22LR cart.'s, which at one time were not much differently priced as primers.

Pretty cheap at Midway. Reckon I'm gonna take the bait and grab one too. (what's that they say about a sucker every minute :))

Mine shifted during the Clinton induced shortage, which was a small bump in the road compared to this one.

What's shifted?

I'm still shooting $3.83/box 9mm, and I move my ammo with a pallet jack.
(got about 700 pounds of lead...)

I knew the prices were too good to last, and I like to shoot, not just look at my guns.

I'm going to start reloading 9mm when I hit the $6/box stuff.
This is for that and .38's.

I haven't bought .22 since 2010 or 11, and I've still over 40k

And before anyone try's to throw stones at "hording"

Hording is buying more than you need when it's scarce, NOT stockpiling in times of plenty!

Besides, overbuying when it's cheap leaves you with more overall.

They came in today.... Too bad they were so fast to ship, I called early Monday morning and tried to add to the order!

X2....I have bought at least twice what I needed for 25 years especially when things are on sale. I went shooting today and used bullets I bought in the 90's.

I like the small boxes.

Just got mine too, the boxes are very neat. Just ordered the Hand Primer from Amazon for 39$..It got really good reviews. Im kind of excited. Boy Im glad I found out about handloading (and this forum of course), I'm just having a ball with this stuff.

Saw this thread so figured I'd check it out for myself and wound up ordering 10,000. I haven't spent much on gun stuff this year, this is my first order from Midway since Jan or Feb. We even dropped our membership at the local range because things are tight. This was just too good a deal to pass on though. The last primers I bought were $28 and THAT was a pretty good deal, all things considered.

I had purchased the hand primer a year or two ago. The first time I used it I thought that if I ever decide to add another progressive press it would be the pro 2000 just because of the aps system.

Someone said I have to purchase something separate to get started with the APS hand primer I ordered. Is that right, or is it ready to go?

Product Information

The RCBS APS Hand Priming tool utilizes a universal shellholder that eliminates the need for additional shellholders.
It doesn't use them.
