So I came into some extra money last week, and having about 2500 rounds of .40 S&W that I loaded back when I was shooting a G35 I decided it was time for another .40. So I went out looking and ended up coming home with a brand new CZ-75 SP-01 Tactical. I forced myself out into the wind and cold saturday to try it out, and after about 150 rounds I gotta say wow this thing is amazing. I should have tried a CZ-75 earlier. Anyone else here really like there CZ-75? Better yet anyone else have one of the ones in .40 S&W?

I've got a CZ 75BD that I love, it's become one of my two most carried guns. I'll be getting a CZ 75D PCR as soon as my LGS can locate one, they are a bit hard to find.

Maybe it's just me but it seems that CZ-75's of all varieties are fairly hard to come by, I don't know if they sell as soon as the hit gun store shelves, or they just don't import many, or maybe their just not that popular around these parts. In the 13 years I've been shooting I'd say the one I bought is only the third maybe the fourth one I've seen, and this is the first I've seen in .40, so naturally I just had to have it.

I've got the 9mm version, and it's my favorite.

I dont carry it though, seems large and heavy for that to me.... Curious what rig those carrying are using?

I mostly carry full size pistols and while the CZ is a bit heaver I don't have a problem with the weight.
All of my holsters are made by Panther Concealment in Jacksonville, FL. http://pantherconcealment.com
I have tried others in the past but always wind up with his, they are the best in my book.

I think the CZ is very under rated in this country which is to bad, it really is a great gun. I think anyone who loves the 1911 platform would have a hard time not liking the CZ.
My LGS has a couple in stock, just not the one I'm looking for, as soon as he finds one, it's going home with me.

Awesome. You'll love your next one too. Trust me.

If you haven't eyed up the P06 to go with your SP01 yet you'd better not(muwhaha)...

You need a new carry gun anyways... (They are the droids you're looking for).

It'll be awhile till the next one, I need to get a progressive press to replace my lee turret press first. I'm thinking that I'll have a Hornady Lock-N-Load AP by the end of the month.

Love my CZ P01. Ergonomics are great and the overall design and features are just about perfect for a compact 9mm.

i hated the 40S&W CZ75B I had, I love the 9mm CZ75B I have now.

We need pictures from the OP!

I never can keep track of all CZ's model #'s...

The 75 SP-O1 Tactical .40 was my first CZ pistol I bought followed by a CZ85B and then 75 D Compact. In months of wearing a jacket I carry the .40 Tactical in a belly waist band. Congrats on your purchase as you will like it and will start seeing CZ's multiplying.

CZ75 was the first gun I wanted to buy. After not finding it in stock anywhere and waiting for three months for a backorder that never materialized I ended up with a Glock. CZ ciuld sell a whole lot more guns if they were easier to obtain; although their plastic fantastic varieties seem plentiful enough, but to me they lack any sex appeal.

On line they come up available periodically, but don't stay in stock long.
CZ-USA, CZ Custom Shop and all the retailers like Buds and many more.

I have a fully worked 9mm 75B that would put a grin on your face, but wish I could let you try my 9mm 75 Shadow Custom. :D

One LGS near me has had half a dozen or more CZ75 variants in stock every time I have been in there in recent years. Mostly full size steel models. But some of the not-so-common ones seem common place there. Stainless, single action, 85, Shadow models. I picked up my Police from them. However, I do not recall ever seeing more than maybe a couple of CZ pistols at any other gun shop in town.

I have the same in the 9mm

CZ 75 SP01 Tactical - great to handle, smooth as silk action, really strong recoil spring, night sights...amazing. Pushing 2K rounds and not a single FTF.

If I am with friends or someone at the range and they try it...every single one has their jaw dropped and say "Wow ..that shoots really nice !!! "

CZs are some of the finest guns made. My personal favorite is my CZ75 Compact 9mm. Solid as a rock and an absolute tack-driver.

While Glock has the LEO market in the US, CZ has it in much of the rest of the world. They are in wide use as police and military sidearms in Europe and South America, so CZUB doesn't send as many to the US, where they are marketed by CZ-USA. Pity.

They are tough, reliable, well-made guns, and are commonly cloned by companies in Turkey, Spain, Serbia, and other places.
