9mm options

SIG 938 comes to mind as a sub-compact.

RIA has made a compact 9mm 1911, not sure they still do.

Then there is the Springfield 9mm 1911-like EMP.

Some of the Taurus Millennium series are hammer fired compacts.

The CZ 75C is a nice 12-round compact, and the 10 shot CZ RAMI is a nice double stack sub-compact.

I had a P99 compact in .40, really nice gun which though striker fired has DA/SA trigger modes. Wish I could find one in 9mm, but I do have a CZ RAMI D which has a flush 10 round and extended 14 round mag. Also uses 16-18 round CZ mags too. It is a super quality little gun.

Sig P239 is my other favorite, mines in 357 Sig and is a tack driver yet soft to shooting w/ 357. (Extra noise though ;)

Choices....

The way to post a gun ? here is to say;
My budget or price range is ___ .
My training/skill level is ___ .
I want these features-add ons: ___ .

As noted there are many decent hammer fired 9mm(9x19mm) pistols. The PX4 Storm, the CZ85, the H&K P2000, SIG M11/P229R/P239.

There are a few great used/pre owned hammer fired guns; S&W 3rd generation, Ruger P series: P91/P89/P94/P95/P93.

This is correct. Then people can weigh in and tell you all the reasons to buy something else altogether.

Thanks for the idea, but I am just asking for makes and models of the 9mm's I asked about.

This is more like it.

Bersa Thunder 9 UC is another nice pistol,,,

Bersa Thunder 9 UC is another nice pistol,,,
It comes in a 13 or 10 round version.

They are the same exact guns,,,
They just ship with different magazines,,,
I have both size mags for mine and they work well.

SA/DA with a decocker,,,
Completely ambidextrous controls.

I've had mine for about 3 months now,,,
It's fired everything I've put in it with no problems.

There are a lot of guns out there that suit your specs,,,
This just happens to be one I'm very fond of.

Happy hunting,,,

The question is simply too broad. There are a lot of options that fit your criteria. You'll just get everyone listing their favorites.

Since I don't want to be left out, that's exactly what I'll do. The Beretta PX4 Storm comes in a service size (4" barrel) and a compact size (3.2" barrel) using the rotating barrel lock-up system, and a subcompact size (3" barrel) using a traditional modified Browning lock-up. It is a criminally underrated pistol. Don't let the unusual looks throw you, it runs like an absolute champion.

Broad is fine. I know of what pistols I have seen or handled. Everyone can list their favorites, there has already been some listed that I did not know existed. That gives me something to look at or research.

Favorites?...

These 9x19mm guns aren't my "favorites", they are just decent 9mm semi auto pistols you might want to check into.
I like DA only & systems like DAK, LDA, LEM, C(constant action). Striker fired 9mm guns are good too but that might be a personal choice.
I prefer trigger pulls that don't change or having a bogus claim of reckless use or cocking a hammer spur then making threats. :uhoh:
Some pistol owners & shooters prefer SA fire, that's their choice too.

I'm sure you can find a good 9mm DA/SA semi auto.

My favorites are the CZ 75D Compact PCR and Sig 239. As stated, there are many more. These happen to be the ones I own and enjoy today.

The confusion may have arisen since you did not initially ASK people to list their favorites. You simply asked for EVERY manufacturer who makes a compact, hammer fired, 9mm. That's an enormous request. Favorites? That's a little easier. I carry one every day concealed in fact. My choice? SA 9mm EMP 1911.

I have handled and/or shot quite a few. The Ruger LC9 was my favorite, so I bought one.

Slightly on the larger size at just a bit bigger than a Glock 19, the HK USP Compact is my choice.
