I had never come across this mod until the other day. It really really works. A little epoxy putty to move the center of the charge cavity, hit it with a file or sandpaper, and she'll drop really small charges very consistently. I havent tested how low she'll go but I know Im throwing much smaller charges consistently now than before the mod.

I think I could do a little better if I did it again, and I probably couldve made the "false" wall a bit thinner, but Im having no problems.

Hopefully this can help someone, Im sure glad I found out about it. It looks a little rough around the edges but it is very smooth and flush.

BTW, I think Lee should have a fix for this. A bit of a design flaw IMO. It seems like they could machine a little piece that would snap in, to re center the cavity.

Thanks for sharing that. I may give it a try.
I only use it for building new loads, and then modify a disk hole to fit the need.
Even just for working up a load it's a PITA the way it is now for 4.0-5.9 gr loads with small powders.

Mr PH;)

Kinda related

Not sure if you saw bds post on adapting the micro discs (or regular discs) Gives you a lot of adjustment variables. The dics are cheap so you can sacrifice some. I don't mess with them as I l can live with what they deliver, If I want 5 grains and it gives 4.8 that's fine.

I have the charge bar and think I used it twice. I guess they no longer make the micro discs

Thanks Rule. Thats one of the great things about Lee, you dont have to be afraid to try some "customizing". You'll be out less than 20$ usually.

I've been using this mod for 4-5 years now. Works fine for me. Maybe the guys at Titan will make a properly engineered one with their plastic printing machine! I just made a request to them, as I have more than one Lee PM, not holding my breath though.

<edit>Just noticed it's an old thread - sheesh!</edit>

Ive heard good things on the micro remake. not sure if it was from Titan though. Maybe someone can verify before this one disappears to page 2:)

Dennis from Titan wrote back that he had looked at this some time ago, but for various reasons the acb can't be made on a 3D printer. At least the mod to the original acb is easy enough and works well.

I just ordered one today. Will report results when it comes in. Even though it says "Lee Precision" on the category, the description definitely says its a 3-D Printed fabricated product. If they did the engineering drawings correctly, it should be a perfect fit. How it actually works... Well, I'll know in a few days.

Hope to try it this weekend. Have been pretty busy of late. [emoji12]

Link to titans micro disk doesnt work. Searched their site for "micro" and nothing comes up. Also looked in their powder handling section and did not see it listed.

You're correct. It does not seem to be on the web site. You might call them to be sure. Wouldn't hurt. I did order and receive one a few months back. Seems of good quality.

I bought a set of the micro-disk off of ebay and had very good luck with them. I have the micro-charge bar and have never cared for it that much.
