Okay I bought the rifle because I wanted a 243 and I liked the nikon scope.
But my question is, are all the savage (10,11,16 ect) recievers the same? I heard they're the same as a model 10 just with a better bolt and spotter barrel. If this is the case that should mean anything from a model 10 will fit right?

It may depend because they make model 10's and its variants with either detachable mags or blind mags and there are 2 types of detachable mags...they have round top receivers and they have flat top receivers. Some stocks won't fit certain rifles because of something different in the trigger assemblies/guard. I'm sure there may be more but I'm no expert on anything Savage. I do own 3 model 10 variants and they are all 3 different in small ways, yet very similar.

As long as youre talking short action with bottom bolt release, yes. I'm sure there are some exceptions with regards to older models. Savage has a reputation for not standardizing offerings within the same model line. What were you wanting to do?

New barrel in the future, differnt stock that's all, since it's a 243 im thinking possible 308 in the future. Shouldn't be hard

It isn't very difficult. I converted my Stevens Model 200 sa (Savage Model 10)in .223 to .243 win and ultimately to .308 win. That was more involved than changing a .243 to .308(that only involves a barrel change)
