Thanks for the responses to another post requesting values of a package deal I was considering. I wanted to share photos of the beauty my wife and I brought home from Western Kentucky yesterday. The gun dates to early 1998 and the gentleman said he ordered it through a dealer. He thought the RandD .45 Colt cylinder was stainless, but turns out it's nickeled. A little disappointed in that but didn't let it ruin the deal since it's in apparent perfect condition. The gun has the factory box, nipple wrench, papers and lock. The RandD cylinder has box and papers too. It was bought from Brownell's according to the sticker. The gun's bore looks almost polished and hasn't even got a hint of pitting or darkness. Also thrown in was a mostly full box of Hornady swaged .457 balls with the old sticker price of $7.25 on it.My wife and I are really pleased with the purchase. At $600 for the whole set, I think the seller got a fair price and we did too. I'm looking forward to warmer weather and shooting with my frequent shooting buddy Bob, who's also an ROA fan.
Now to sell another ROA of mine I'm proud of. Hurts, but fixed income issues dictate. Thanks again, Don.
