I been looking at the versa max and I have heard that Remington is going down hill and I hate the pro bore I cant find so I been looking around and I heard quite a bit of good about the winchester sx3. I just want to hear from people to have them and shot them. I have also looked at the franchi intensity but I have not shoulder one and I'm not a fan of inertia I prefer gas. Thanks

I heard nothing but great things about the SX3. it's an update of the SX2 design which is the same as the FN SLP (The SLP is just a dressed up SX2) so it's certainly got a good background to it.

The Browning Silver series is also just a dressed up SX3 (like the SX2 and FN SLP) if you're into something more traditional looking.

I have heard the Winchester is made by FN. I would do some research to find out who makes it. If it is indeed made by FN and it has an FN price tag I would get a Browning. I have bought Browning shotguns and rifles most of my life. The few I have sold I got more than I paid for the gun. No other brand has consistently held their value like that for close to 50 years. Actually more than 50 years. All the Belgium made Brownings I have owned I bought used.

I have done some research and I found on the winchester website they say that its made in Belgium and the final finish done in Portugal. The sx3 is quite bit cheaper then a browning the sliver hunter is around 200 to 300 higher then the sx3 and I always been a winchester fan more then I have a been a browning fan even though I have a Belgium a5. Thanks

Winchester, Browning, and FN are all owned by the same company and all share designs. Often it's just a matter of what kind of style you want.
Tactical, go with the FN.
Traditional and classic, Browning.
Modern and practical, go Winchester.

In the end it's the same gun. Sort of like Chevy, Cadillac, and Pontiac. Same car, what do you want your seats made of?

I really like my SX3 . It is easy to clean , but reinstalling the trigger assembly was not so easy for me though . I don't remove that every time I clean it anyway . It has a good weight , not the lightest , far from the heaviest . I use mine mainly for deer hunting , with buckshot . It patterns BK good @ 40 yards . I use a custom choke made by a local gunsmith , I think he specializes in chokes & barrels . He and his son both use the SX2 . I shot a nice 6 pt. from a treestand @ 41 paces new years day . It put a great pattern on him using Rem. 3 1/2" 00 bk. . That was the shell that my local gunsmith recommended for his choke and my gun . It did great on paper @ 40 paces also . Those 3 1/2" 00 bk. kick like a mule though . I just got my Texas mount back today .

2 years with my SX3 without problems, so far. Very easy to clean.
