I have a DSA made SA58 PARA and recently added an AAC 51T Blackout flash hider with the intention of mounting the 762-SDN-6 that I use on my POF P308. I haven't got around to trying it yet but was curious if others have done much suppressed shooting with FALs. My PARA seems to be overgassed as it is so I'm not exactly expecting the suppressor to help in this regard.

I just adjust the gas piston to compensate for cycling issues if any, depending on type of ammo used

I have the 16.25" barreled version and with the gas port all the way open the rifle still seems to be a bit overgassed spitting out spent cases 12' or more. I'll have to play with it a little once the weather improves and I have fewer distractions.

I have the 22'' barrel and my adjust enough to make it single fire. and not mangle my brass too much. But it is a blast to suppress it and rapid fire steel at 200 meters

A good friend of mine has not had such good results. If your rifle is already overgassed without the can, then I think you can expect a sever case of gas face.

I have a newer SA58 that prefers to run with the (unnumbered) valve about half way open. The port on this particular barrel may lend itself to suppression a little bit better, but the giant escape path at the rear of the receiver is still a concern.
