I picked up one in 7,62x39 today and I would like to get some wood furniture on it. But after looking at Boyds and Stocky's Stocks only to find they don't have saiga stocks, I'm not sure where else to look, all I keep finding is Tapco Intrafuse this and ATI that but no wood, any suggestions?

I paid less for my Saiga than that wood furniture costs.

I recently had the chance to trade my $200 Saiga for for new Centurion with gray laminated wood stocks, even up. It now looks great and I don't have to do the conversion.

is your saiga converted to an AK yet?.. if not, i would recommend doing that and using the clamp on handguard retainer in that build so you can get all the AK furniture on it

Not doing that while I live in CA, don't feel like having to have a bullet button on it, if I do convert it, it'll be when I move back to South Carolina.

if you plan to convert it to an AK anyway, youre going to need the handguard retainer, you can press off the front sight block and gas block, pick up an AK handguard retainer or just buy one of those clamp on ones.. that wouldnt be illegal in california, and saves you a step when you do convert it later.. at least your saiga will look like an AK from about the middle of the receiver on forward

True, although it would look odd with a wood handguard and synthetic stock.

so then buy a wooden stock for the saiga for the time being, theyre out there.. or go with a synthetic AK stock

If you're talking about...........

..............a wood sporter stock, keep an eye on ebay. I got mine there for $115. They don't show up often but they do show up. I got mine before all these states started to adopt communist laws, so I'd imagine that a lot of people are looking for them.

go to the akfiles forum and check the marketplace there, people do saiga conversions all the time and get rid of their wooden saiga stocks when they put on AK furniture
