Turkey season opens Saturday-May 15. Nothing but coyote or hogs until August 1 when squirrel opens and runs through Feb. If you archery hunt deer opens mid-Sept through mid January. June and July are the only months with nothing open.

I'm with jim-in-anchorage. It's just about time for the walleye run....

I, for one, am glad that we don't have hogs in Utah. Coyotes, red foxes, jackrabbits, and Eurasian collared doves are always available.

OP, why all the drive-by posting?

Crappie, then bass, then bow hunting for gar, then catfish, then back to bass, then striped bass, then catfish again, then bow hunting for bambi, muzzleloader hunting for bambi, modern gun hunting for bambi, then back to bow hunting for bambi, then it's colder than a dead man's rent check until time to chase crappie again. The time when it's too cold doesn't last long, and if your more dedicated than I am you can call songdog then.

I'm going fishing........if it ever stops raining.

I bought a new crossbow for bow season. I'm looking forward to at least sticking a doe with it. I'm going to do more duck hunting, too, hopefully. That's getting a bit hard on me in my old age, though. Doves and deer are a lot easier on me.

paper is always in season :D plus I got a $520.00 taxidermy bill from last deer season , , but I'll be hunting them all summer with my two new wireless trail cams

Caught 4 keeper walleye last night. I have no problem with spring/early summer. This year will not have the opportunity I usually have so I hit it early.

The last Coyote I shot was really mangy and that was back in early February, come to think of it all the coyotes out here this past year have been really mangy. No sense shooting them if you can't peddle the pelts.

Did run into a neat quail spot out here that you can only get to with a 4 wheeler quad. Plenty of water and seeds, and sufficient cover. Now I'm anxious for quail season to open in October 2015.

I went to a Colorado County Wildlife Management Association meeting tonight. I went to find the guy that runs my unit, Sandy Creek. I found him, cleared up that I don't pay him until the August meeting, so I GUESS that's when I'll get a doe permit.....I hope. That will allow me to take a doe in gun season. I coulda took a dozen last season. They do need to be thinned out.

There was a hog outfitter there that's just up the road from me. They hunt at night and I'm not that nocturnal, but I guess I could try it. For 250 bucks they'll put you in a high fence area where you WILL see hogs or for 175, you hunt free range.
