Anyone have one of these? I won an auction on GB last night and should have it next week. 16" barrel, saddle ring. Anything need slicking up? I'm hoping it's as handy as the Marlin I sold.

I have one in 44mag. Don't expect it to have anywhere near the fit and finish of a pre 64 Winchester. But it is a nice fun little carbine. Mine has functioned 100% . And is my favorite plinker. Goes with me almost every range visit. I have only fired 240gr SWC reloads in it and have not really benched it good to see how accurate it is. But the 6" bulls on the targets my range gives out is not safe from the carbine out to 100 yards (the max distance of the range).

Get yourself a Williams peep sight. It is worlds better then the factory buckhorn rear sight.

I have both the Marlin and the Winchester. I like them both, but find the Marlin a bit handier. I think you will be happy with your purchase. Post some pics when you get it back home!

I have one only with the longer barrel. It is a fun rifle and mine functions well. I'll throw this out there though FWIW, I tried .38 specials in mine and that is a bad idea. I suspect the shorter rounds caused it to break the cartridge stop on the lever link. I replaced it and only use 357s and it works fine. As others have said, I think you will enjoy it.

I have had a 94 AE 45 colt, 20 in. bbl. Its an excellent shooter with my hand loads, surprisingly accurate. Its marked Winchester, made in New Haven Conn. Might be a real Winchester. Anyway its a good rifle and I like it.

Wish I did have a 357... I have a 44ae and its nice though as mentioned the fit and finish is not as good as earlier 94's.
