I like the base configuration but...

The camo looks kinda "vomitty" to me.
Might be my slight color blindness, might be a desired look. Either way, it'd drive me nuts with that camo.

The carbine though, with 13 mags... I dig.

Nice thing'd be, I can't see the g-awful camo when I'm looking through the sights - much.

For me - it'd get a "Smith" brake and G.I. front sight.

Todd.

^^^^dont blame you at all if you buy something that reminds you of your "vomit" color, it will drive me nuts also.......ha, no it won't. But I do Beleive it will for "Other" people. I Beleive after you shoot this thing will cure your fear of vommity color syndrome:)

Yeah, if one came my way "at a price"... I'd learn to cope!

One of my absolute favorite rifles to shoot is my "Tanker" Garand built by Fred Johnson... I'm surprised I don't have a carbined M-14 like one of these in the OP... hurl-camo not withstanding!

What a great "truck gun".

Did you pick up your 3 free 20rd mags from SAI yet?

The offer may be expired by now, but worth looking into.

I definitely wouldn't feel like vomiting around that thing.......but I would probably start convulsing after shooting it from the overwhelming joy.
Get a medic on standby.

Very short range trip yesterday, only put 10rounds through it. WOW ...in all honesty this by far is the most comfortable natural pointing soft shooting semi auto 7.62 I have ever shot :) I thought my mas 49/56 was soft shooting (gas impingement) had 2 of my friends shoot it...and could tell its something special, cause after their first shot, they stop and look at you with a big smile on their face. Will be heading back for some shot groups

Only 10 rounds? Sheesh!

Man, I would have at least railed 100 through it!

Grats again, still jealous! I'll pick one up... One day.

^^^^^...LOL no kidding, but on way home friends private land stoped by to give it a go. Where I'm from .308 gets kinda high. PCM/NATO runs me $24 bucks for box of 20. I will be shooting this rifle very very slow...LOL

^^^ totally understand. I wish I could shoot my ruger gsr more, its also 308. Damn expensive. I'm waiting a few pay days to buy 1k to last a bit.

My M1A is the main reason I've recently started reloading. Tired of being at the mercy of Internet wholesalers and sporting good stores to feed the beast.
