Preferred 30 cal suppressor?

How about the Omega? That is at the top of my list. I would love the Omega for a .30cal suppressor and a Sparrow for .22. I have the Octane 45 and 9. Outstanding suppressor.

I have the Saker 762, and if I was doing it again now, I'd probably go for the Omega. It looks like they are positioning the Saker as a tough use suppressor, for full auto and what not, but the Omega is supposedly lighter, quieter and shorter. I really like my Silencerco suppressors (currently have a Sparrow and Saker), but one of the new Dead Air Sandman variants would probably be worth looking at too.

I have a specwar and have an omega on order. The specwar is the quietist but also the longest/heaviest. The omega is the lightest/shortest and is still very quiet.

Like the others have said, I would look at the Saker 762 or the Omega. I have the Saker and love it, however IIRC the Omega is 6 or 7 ounces lighter. You can get different end caps for both. If you are going to be running it on a SBR, the Omega may be the way to go.

Preferred for what? Hammer, cookie dough roller?

What application do you plan on for use?

What are your planned host?

I use my TBAC CB9 for hunting on a bolt rifle. It is also used on my 6.8spc AR for hog hunting but it main purpose is the bolt rifle.

I run a Specwar 762 on my Colt LE6920, and will be running it on my soon-to-be-completed 300 BLK build.

It's the quietest can I've ever shot. However, it is heavy.

I just ordered another 30 cal suppressor from allen engineering. www.aesuppressors.com

I have a couple of ops inc suppressors that I'm very happy with, and when Ron Allen left to make his own label, I've gotten a couple more from him. Prices are better than when they were wearing the Ops Inc labels. Performance is the same.

As others have said, your intended use makes a big difference.

I have the SAS Titanium Arbiter. Mine is a TOMB (thread over muzzle brake) mount style, so each gun I run it on (up to .30 cal magnums, down to .223) has this type of muzzle brake on it.

It's a great suppressor for my precision rifles, and does fine on AR-15's within reason. But, if I was going to do repeated mag dumps, one after another, or run it on a full-auto, I'd have chosen the heavier but more heat-friendly steel version. Conversely, the lighter weight of a titanium can is more preferable for precision work, since the lighter weight generally seems to result in less POI shift.

I love my SAS can, and have also shot Thunderbeast cans in the past (they're great too).

I'm a big fan of my Saker 7.62. When I run it on a .223 gun the option of the smaller front cap to help improve the cans performance is awesome.

Do you ever plan on shooting cast bullets? If so you will definitely want one you can take apart for cleaning.

Is weight an issue? If you like, I head to B/CS every once in a while and you're welcome to try my Sandstorm out, if you like.

titanium, you cant beat the TBAC series of suppressors. also, Crux or templar tactical.

now, for gas guns and high rates of fire, id go specwar over the Saker and Omega. Omega is not metering very well these days, or so ive heard.

I agree with others and see an Omega in my future, hard to beat it for weight, length, and versatility

I'll throw AAC into the mix. I have seven of their suppressors (more planned) and QD attachments on all rifle suppressor hosts and am pleased with all of them. As for .30 cal, I use an 762-SDN-6 on my POF P308 and a MK13-SD on my AI in .308 Win and have zero complaints.

Right now the Omega and Sandman series is hard to beat.
The Sandman S is top of my list.
What is your intended use? What firearm? Give us a little background.
Sorry I didnt answer this soon and thanks to all who posted.

Mostly this will be used on 300 Blackout and possibly an AR10 in the future.

Dead Air Sandman S and Saker 762 are the main ones im looking at now.

Im not just looking at db numbers because from what I understand they are all pretty close and sometimes what sounds good to another doesnt to the user.

suppressor

Depends on what you want it for. I have a saker 7.62 for my sbr's. I ordered it after I found out that the thunderbeast was not rated for sbr's in 223 or bigger caliber. The saker is heavier and it is built like a beast. Has a lifetime warranty and it seems like it will last the rest of mine. I will be putting it on my 7.62x39 as soon as my new trifecta mount comes in. Now that is gonna be fun. It can be changed around to be mounted on anything and it will hold up to most whatever you want to put it on. The TB is what I use for my bolt actions now and it is the best can that I have used as far as light weight and sound reduction. Threads on easily and works very well. For 22's, I have a thunder beast and a mite. Both of them work very well with the tb much lighter. I know some people will knock the mite but it is fine for me. Huntertown also makes a low cost 22 suppressor that works well.
