Agreed on the Gradient Hawkeye.
I notice the cheaper, cardboard boxed non-focusing mode seems to have been phased out as the competition is picking up and the Lyman is on the horizon (along with a new Lyman lead pot that actually shipped a handful before going back to perpetual no stock). Fragile and expensive. It's easy to soup up the included Mini Maglight but the high powered Mini Maglight with cree bulbs and such may give a false color blue tint.
I've picked up a couple of the Gradient rechargeable lights Hawkeye SuperNova lights relatively cheaply on EBay - maybe they dropped the scope? There's a right angle eyepiece on EBay right now - in the past those too have sold on EBay for well under Gradient's price.
I have a shorter one and a longer run just because the short one showed up cheap when I had cash in my pocket. I'm not sure that looking at the bore tells me anything that shooting the firearm doesn't but if I didn't have a bore scope I'd always wonder. A bore scope does not much predict performance or remaining life unless the bore is really gone. A fun thing to take to gun shows and maybe to use as a bargaining tool.
