Last week I purchased an Uberti SAA in .45Colt. Last night I broke it down, cleaned all the factory grease out of it, and took it out to the range today.

Guess what? Uberti's don't disassemble like they used to. I wasn't aware of the plunger type hand spring, and unknowingly lost it. So this morning it quit rotating on the second cylinder. Don't know why it worked for the first round of cartridges. So a trip to the local gunsmith got me a new plunger rod. Went back out this evening. Shoots like a dream now.

I bought the cheaper model, the one that is just bead blasted and blued, and no polish on the brass. Kinda ugly, but it works.

Sure was good to feel some recoil and smell some powder smoke. I made some video, but it didn't turn out well enough to bother with the youtube thing. Maybe next time.

Planning on it. A coworker and his son are really interested in CAS, I need to take them to a match or two also.
