What have you done in the reloading room today

Got the 85 cases of mixed 7.62/308 brass sized today, along with the 5 pieces of PPU 303B. This was my first time using my Lyman turret press with a new Inline Fabrication ergonomic roller bar for sizing. With a high bench mount and a standing position, I was able to full length re-size all 90...

    Beretta Tomcat..?

Just a correction: my S&W j frame in 32 H&R Magnum is a model 431PD. My dyslexia struck again.

    Beretta Tomcat..?

Working on my 922 list now, but a wire stock and SBR stamp are my future goals. Found a source for US-made grips! It would.be great if Franklin Armory made a US sourced binary trigger. I've asked, but no interest.

G17 Gen 4 parts compatibility question

Thank you Riomouse911; the photos are very helpful! I have about 300 rounds through the pistol, and it shoots and functions very consistently. This is with Magpul 17 round mags, and with "Asian manufactured" 33 round mags. That said, I haven't sat down and wrung it out for accuracy. That is...

G17 Gen 4 parts compatibility question

A little while back, I built a G17 clone on a Lone Wolf large frame as a companion to my AR9. After assembly, I noticed this gap between the slide and the recoil rod. Yet both parts, slide and rod, were sold as Gen 4 items by Optics Asteroid. The gap seems too small to support a Gen3/Gen4...

    Beretta Tomcat..?

I know your needs are met, but like Nicely-Nicely Johnson at the Salvation Army Mission, "I wanna testify!" I have four .32 caliber handguns: a Tomcat and a vz61 in 32ACP; and a Ruger sp101 and S&W 341 in 32 H&R Magnum. The 32ACP Tomcat is very comfortable to carry, easy to load, and with the...

What have you done in the reloading room today

I don't think I ever NOT sized (and trimmed) new brass.

What have you done in the reloading room today

Can't say I have it any thought, but my powders are stored in 2 large (20 mm) ammo cans in the garage, and my primers are in my p.e.b. workshop and storage. I take out a particular powder one pound at a time, and return it to the garage when done.

What have you done in the reloading room today

I was thinking the foundation for a cat tree for a medium sized cerval or a big jaguarundi?

What have you done in the reloading room today

With spouse and daughter both on a trip to bring the puppy home, I wouldn't push back on the name choices

What have you done in the reloading room today

Put pins away, along with the FART and vib tumbler. Rooted through the clean brass to understand my quantities on hand. Put the first coat of LinSpeed on a US made wooden grip for a vz61.

What have you done in the reloading room today

Sorted and put away the small amounts of 9x19, 5.56, 300B.O., and 308 I had polishing. In the process, I found 100+/- .30-06 LC NM once-fired, cleaned sized brass. Discovery is fun.

What have you done in the reloading room today

Ran 130+ 9mms, 10 FC 308s, and a handful each of 300 B.O. and 5.56 through the pins. I hope to dump them into some walnut tomorrow

👍 For the size & deprime; 👎for the broken pin. I hope you had a spare.

What gunsmithing or repairs have you done today

Sounds like years of 'cleaning' with WD-40.

What have you done in the reloading room today

Ran approx 70-80 PCs of 9mm and 308; through the ultrasonic cleaner. Debating pins first, or straight to walnut tomorrow. Probably pins, if only for the primer pockets

What is the last gun that you bought?

That's why I have a Mannlicher 1905 (and still no ammo yet). 🤣😂🤣😂

What have you done in the reloading room today

Dumps are so much more enjoyable when Uncle's distribution system (Great Mistakes) turns over a pallet load for your unit, and says do not return it, burn through it all. But even then somebody's gonna complain about how sore their thumb is from loading mags
